As for travelling across bridge to Sweden, we did it by car to see the famous murder site that featured in the Nordic noir police series called the bridge, where the body was on the border half way across bridge sawn in half with parts from 2 different people. Needless to say you cannot stop half way across the bridge but quite fun trying to identify exact site when passing. The bridge itself will cost you more than the airfare from London, and the Swedish town at other end is about as lively as the aforementioned corpse, and not so entertaining.
