Hate to say this guys, until told down the pub, I thought banks just checked twitface. Now know some banks check share chat sites ! So let me be the first and loudest Rose fan on the block. I think Rose should stay and deserves more pay. Hope this post is not too late ! Gulp Ironically, NWG are offering an excellent 2 year fixed cash ISA. Can I keep my account now ?
never seen a politician who is not full of s***, essential qualification for the job imo. anyway, walking past coutts in strand last night after seeing the crown jewels at the garrick (hilarious play) and caught glimpse of a tall animal with long brass neck sitting at a computer terminal ****ging off anyone he does not agree with. had to laugh. in meantime, hoping there is no 'special' dividend on 28th, or if there is, that it is hard cash.
Telegraph mentions window of opportunity for Deutsch to snap up BT before election within 18 months, when Stammer becomes PM and blocks takeover due to union pressure. Hard to gauge when window would be slammed shut. Anyone have view for bid deadline ? With advisors hired to fight off bid, should be imminent or by end summer IMO. Or not at all ...
And Lloyds on 'negative cat watch', despite both banks operating in same field, with mortgages having to be renewed, interest rates higher and property prices falling. Cannot see reason for polarised ratings of the two banks.
From what I have heard from pub, NT members (who still have ears inside most financial institutions), tomorrow should be a good day for Barc and the rise of Challenger Banks is well and truly over. In fact, the irreversible decline of Challenger Bonks has begun. Cannot believe I am writing this rubbish but lets face it, you could not make it up ...
No short positions. No explanation. Just massive dump at end of day. Wonder how many will be dumped today ? At least its not Friday 13th. Looking around for some explanation to this conundrum, came across a Chronic article of 15th March which cryptically stated 'There is some concern that there is more to the revenue stagnation than just the economy'. Goes on by giving examples of other UK IT companies that have been completely unaffected.
Hunt the Cent has 2024 adjusted PE of just 8.4. Chronic opinion is that 'this is Cheap but justified until KCT shows that it can grow faster than the wider economy. Hold'. Bad call. Sp on 15th march was 97p ...
Down the pub, where else, which has no beer (no kidding, mast and rigging) and spoke to an oracle who foresees Whitbread getting back into pubs. Name being bandied around was MARS, who have many sites ideal for redevelopment with proposed new Premier Inns. Sounds sensible but only if pub has no beer, which sadly is the case with several Marston's pubs round here, where closest you can get is Guiness. IMO laughable, or is it ?
After the RNS bad news, sp should have stabilised at lower level within a few days. This prolonged decline has been going on for weeks. Chart looks horribly like an inscription on a gravestone ... Easter has gone, and no resurrection in sight. Death spiral or best special situation of the year. Cannot decide which ...
