IKFA - thanks for your opinion which happens to be one that I share. It’s what I’ve been saying essentially the past few days. The risk/reward ratio is NO LONGER in Helikons favour. Their profit has been made and, at very best case, there are breadcrumbs left, the feast has been had.

A warning - Don’t be greedy Helikon. As the old adage goes ‘A profit is NOT a profit until it’s in your pocket. You will do well to pay attention because that IS an indisputable fact.

Trouble - don’t be too hard on him. He’s having another bad day at the bedsit.

Meanwhile nearly 3p and 8% up on the day.

My screen may be bathed in green while others are green with envy.

But a small flurry of buying this afternoon.

I would argue one of the cheapest best value quality micro gold stocks if not the cheapest given where they operate and their assets.

Big buy at a premium obviously. OK this is not a retail investor. This is either an II or possibly even Helikon beginning to smell the coffee.

Either way it’s good news for investors.

I’m loving this. Should’ve done it weeks ago. All I can see is a swathe of green across the screen. Hilarious because it really highlights the desperation of the individual concerned to get attention - positive or negative it matters not.

It’s true you know ignorance truly is bliss where the filtered are concerned. And I expect a few have done it to me too which is absolutely cool with me.

IMHO they missed the best opportunity to close out their short in the second half of last year.

We are edging up again on very low volume. Not a good sign for a tiny hedge fund that needs to pay over a whopping £7m to buy back 18 million shares when this averages 1-2 million volume per day. There are signs of a tentative recovery here and also plenty of potential positive catalysts in the next year or so. Sector sentiment is improving viz a viz Plug Power.

A real headache for Helikon. Yes they are sitting on a paper profit, but that’s all it is currently, a paper profit and no one likes to see their profit eaten away do they…..

Rick has to ‘claim’ he holds some kind of position here. If he didn’t he realises his serial posting would make no sense and people would conclude he is either a short seller, or working on behalf those holding short positions or the only other possibility is trolling.

So it’s a form of justification. But he is clearly lying. A so called ‘small position” does not logically merit dozens nay hundreds of negative bias posts. Most normal people would agree with this hypothesis. But he also realises that he would look even more stupid if he claimed to hold a large long position! So he has cornered himself.

As soon as I began to turn the spotlight on Helikon yesterday note how he quickly became defensive and leapt to their defence. He even used the word ‘Might’ to describe Helikon.. He bows therefore to their greatness lol whilst constantly spitting at his ‘small position’

In truth he brings up the ‘small position’ lie occasionally to try and demonstrate that he ‘wins’ no matter what happens. If the stock goes down he can intensify his gloating and if it goes up hey he won too!

The following link does a very good job in comprehensively describing ‘Rick’ types. He is both a narcissist and an online troll. The rest of us we are just shareholders backing, supporting, and sometimes defending or criticising our company when it’s merited.

The moment the market gets a whiff that Helikon is trying to back out - and assuming improving market sentiment- this will take off. Reducing a short position works more effectively if you are doing so into negative market sentiment because you can offset against the selling which is what they did over a year ago. It’s a lot harder in a more positive market. We will see but if sellers are getting exhausted here……The word short squeeze springs to mind and it happens.

USA, and just for ‘balance’ because we all know how strongly Rick believes in ‘balance’ don’t we lol Trump has MANY friends in the UK too. Millions of them actually. Just a friendly “British” reminder. ;)

So the person who now claims to be a holder of ITM shares (not a coincidence it was on a day ITM shares were up the most in a considerable time) is also a staunch defender AND a spokesperson for the company holding a substantial short position in ITM. A person who now, in literally HUNDREDS of posts never posted a single bullish one about ITM yet expects us to now believe he holds shares in ITM. And almost in an instant his parrot rushes to defend him.Hilarious, bizarre paradoxical AND transparent all at the same time.

You couldn’t make it up.

Certainly the change in sentiment in the USA can’t do us any harm. There are a number of catalysts that could well boost this stock in 2025. Not looking at this from a day to day trading perspective but the overall year it’s looking promising.

We can argue and disagree but you are bang out of order.

One of a number of problems Helikon now have is how do they extract themselves from a very isolated short position. All the other short positions have wisely taken their profits and backed out. No other short positions above 0.5%. How do you buy back 18 million shares in a clearly rising market without sending the price snapping back upwards sharply? It was clearly much easier to sell into a market where there was demand than it would be to buy into a market where there is demand. It’s fair to say that we can’t say for certain yet whether the tide has turned but the signs are there. Hydrogen stocks in the USA are rising sharply. Strange given how Trump is going to squash green hydrogen isn’t it? Mr Market in the USA clearly doesn’t believe that narrative.

Not every trade works out and though I and other investors here have acknowledged Helikons success I also think they need to think very carefully about outstaying their stay here.

Plug Power (although a way head of ITM in revenue terms) is comparable in respect they are also PEM Electrolyser specialists. And supposedly operating in a more difficult market. You wouldn’t think so looking at the SP.

The halcyon days for Helikon could be over. They would be wise to consider closing out because the risk/reward ratio is no longer in their favour. Sentiment is EVERYTHING in the market and I even happened to agree with Rick earlier when he spoke of markets always looking ahead. Yes indeed Rick I couldn’t have put it better myself. This has already reached rock bottom imho and now the sector is going to get a bounce.

It IS UP 20% now ;)
