Interesting post. Always like to read your thoughts. Just you and me here isn't it? Even Stilolosses (who will surely soon change his/her user name to 'Stilogains' has disappeared. I think most punters either don't understand/don't want to understand this company or think it's boring. They'll just look at oil or resource stocks. Perhaps people just think that this will always be a plodder? But I would say look at the progress. Look, particularly, at what the SP has done over the past year - that is THE most significant endorsement of what the company is doing. The IBM partnership looks like it's going to another level now which will be a game changer for little Stilo.

This could do with a trading/operational update now the financial year has ended and ahead of results. If there's better news re cashburn and revenues then get it out there. I thought they would've near run out of cash by now - certainly by end of May. Oh and what about a loooong overdue update on cyber insurance partnership + BYOD + integrator testing + anything else JB has teased the market with and then radio silence. But no mention of fridges please.

Very odd that we should be down at all today with buys outweighing sells by a large margin. As you say a dummy sell goes for 6.095p I have 10 stocks currently in my PF and this is the one I have the greatest confidence in.

Gold is being smacked again today. Hasn't recovered from yday's bankster smackdown. The irony is that Shanta will not be significantly affected now because 75% of this years production is already forward sold. As stocks has rightly indicated the growing debt (over 50% higher than last year) is a concern as is the fact that hedging worked FOR Shanta to an extent when gold price was falling but against them now it's risen. I think Shanta is a good long term investment but for me there's no rush to get back in. Results will be in soon, they should be OK but I'll be surprised if they have a significant effect up or down. So I like Shanta but when you're investing in AIM you have to be nimble and flexible. ATB to all here

I agree about your view on the article. I believe it was the same analyst (def the same firm) who wrote some very critical and personal stuff about AAU and their management a while back - and recommended a sell. AAU SP has since gone up more than 50%!

Bankside - excellent post and someone who really knows this company clearly. I have been generally a long term interest and supporter of this stock but today's announcement, as much as it tries to appease and charm shareholders leaves a lot of questions. You've brought up a key one which I forgot to include earlier. If the Chinese didn't sign off on the DFS then who has??!! What competent person has declared it correct to the best of their professional knowledge? I don't see a name or a company anywhere. And which potential buyer is going to take Charaats word for it?? Come on folks And yes I do remember Mac Deguire and we still don't know why he went so early on in the DFS? A much respected figure in the industry - gone just like that before the job was half done. And then there were the consultants that got turfed out which delayed things again. You can have a world class resource but if you don't have competent management you are not going to extract value. It's sad to say it from a shareholders perspective but it's a shambles because there is no strategy. It's wet your finger and stick it up in the wind. You maybe lucky and get a bit of a rise on the gold price but I know what I'd do on strength.

I act for myself do I not and I decided that even though on balance it was a good update there were elements in it that might continue to restrain the SP. Are you still here? I am taking the view (ie.hoping) that every day that ticks by makes it less likely that the overhanging fear and risk of a placing will subside. The SP isn't really signalling anything at the moment except that the longer it stays static the greater the likely move on news, or rumour.

I def get your point. I expect at least one more fundraise later in the year - 2nd half- which they'll get away np. SP catalysts are such that this could move very rapidly - there's a lot of illiquidity - so I've decided to hold and wait. Fantastic market to be in and importantly good management.

I see my earlier comments being scoffed at but after the initial "T/O" hype reality is setting in that you are not going to see 50p or 30p or even 18p. People just see what they want to see but no one can say you weren't told in black and white. There are going to be provisions against bad debt. And I suspect they will be substantial or they wouldn't have explicitly stated it. That is going to smash the BS. The CEO is being opportunistic and clearly believes he can pick the company up cheap, effectively a MBO.

I would suggest that going by information in the public domain ie.results they still have over a million in cash - more than double your guesstimate. Not of course saying there won't be any future need for fundraising. As with any rapidly growing company developing new products and grabbing market share maybe a need for cash but it depends somewhat on revenue growth and when the first very large deals land. Credit to the company - they are taking a conservative view and suggesting deals could take longer but you never know, this is a fast moving space.

Not sure where you get your sums from? Here is copied extract from recent results: · Net cash as at 31 December amounted to £1.55 million (30 June 2015: £2.73 million; 31 December 2014: £4.68 million). As at the date of announcement net cash amounted to £1.25 million So they actually burnt £300k in roughly 3 months (100k pm) and you are suggesting another £750k went in just the past month then?! I think you need to redo your sums old chap.

There is a new poster here posting inaccurate information regarding SHG hedging for 2016. Quote "Only a third of production is hedged" Wrong. Here are the facts. Lifted word for word from the last two quarterly updates: · Forward sales from January to June 2016 of 30,000 oz at an average price of US$1,129 /oz; Forward sales from April to September 2016 of 32,000 oz at an average price of US$1,172 /oz. · Annual guidance reiterated for 2016 of 82,000 - 87,000 oz at That is approximately 75% of production guidance for 2016. 75% not a third.

All about building the brand. Company are delivering. Imv only a matter of time until a major deal lands. Today's announcement is another step towards that goal as the big players watch Gfinity products gain traction in terms of users. Happy to be patient

Was it the Chinese selling down over past few days? Why, if the mining group have done DD have they not bid? This questions the entire long term strategy. They were initially focused on full production and were targeting western partners or buyers. Then they scrapped that for the DFS. They then explicitly stated they were targeting Chinese partners/buyers. The Chinese have not delivered what Charaat either wanted or thought they would get. I assume they paid the Chinese to complete the DFS and have rejected it. despite saying the Chinese were technically excellent they have rejected a number of their key conclusions and metrics. So what on earth do they do now? Where do they turn? The Chinese are well known for their patience and playing the long game. They will wait. In the meantime Dekel knows that if they are to progress this project much further they will require funding. He's already admitted they don't have funds for further drilling in the coming season. He had previously declared they would be starting a BFS later this year. However that was going to be on the back of a Chinese approved DFS - which they have not received. He's also said they might consider limited production but what is the true capital cost there? It's a mess to be frank. Strategy? Changes like the wind. No wonder the market isn't keen. Too much uncertainty and I also think the response is one of the market now anticipating an inevitable fundraising in the next few months.

This is well worth a look. I really like the prospects here. Quality management - all important. Bounced strongly from recent dip. Short term chart looks great. For such a micro cap there is good II representation on the register.
