Quite clear their sell order is around 40p. Thats what they're after, thats whats been agreed to offload at. Retail demand soaks up their supply. From our pov we just have to sit tight and wait for them to finish. They will plan to finish before any results are announced. We'll then have a decent shot at a SP rise into the 50's before results..

Bit of patience. They 100% want out. Completely. They do not want the risk of being in for the results so this will now be done fairly quickly imo. Within a week certainly, hopefully quicker.

Now we know for sure the explanation for current SP action. OK. Just sit tight until they are out. It should be no longer than a few days now I expect at the pace they are now selling. Retail demand for the shares is soaking up the supply.

Once they are out its chocks away and 50+ here we come.

johnnykipper very knowledgeable he may be but he made a proper bloomer. He said NCYT would not get the £5bn contract from the UK government. That was a pretty embarrassing comment because we ALL know that and no one thinks they would. The general view here is that we are very optimistic, and justifiably so, that NCYT will get a decent slice of the pie which, in itself, would be hugely bullish for revenue prospects with a minimum 2 year horizon.

You see thats where you expose your lack of understanding. No ONE company will get the £5bn. You didn't know that? Oh dear doc you don't understand these things. A number of companies will get contracts and I haven't seen anyone here claiming NCYT would get £5bn contract. What we are saying is we are - undisputably - front runners to get a contract - a slice of the pie. Do you understand now? Is that clear enough?

Even if NCYT get just a ‘small’ slice of the £5bn commitment by UK govt to Covid testing spend over next 2 years it would still be a hugely significant event for the company. It would give clear forward transparency to revenues. Very large guaranteed revenues.

Novacyt have to be near, if not at the front of, the queue of bidders for these major major contracts. We are in ‘Primer’ position.

Steadydanny - I like your analogy with the garden as I am a keen gardener too. Val is bush that was left neglected and abused. Unprinted for years. Not fed. No TLC. But now someone is tending the garden who understands what the bush needs to grow vigorously and healthily. Fresh shoots are already appearing!

I also think you make a good point re management. Good management is an essential ingredient for any successful company. I don’t know much about Suzanne Dilly but others here seem to hold a positive view of her and I’ve no reason to doubt them.

Tell you what I’ll settle for a daily quarter pence increase for next few weeks.
