Why is it that when someone raises what they believe is a legitimate concern... and the share price performance over the last year would seem to suggest it would be reasonable for many investors to have those concerns, your only fall back position is to be insulting. I'm not Ella or OOL or whoever you fantasise about. I don't agree with what most of them say, and many people may not agree with my opinion, but they are just that... opinions, and different opinions are what makes market. I may not be right in my concerns... but shock horror! you might not be right either, they are just our opinions. I think the BoD have been terrible in their comms, and I'm not sure why you go overboard and say we should read what you wrote and then be quiet... when that seems to be a reasonably widely held view. I can only assume you work for the company.
Do I think NvS is up to it? I knew him quite well some time ago and I still have occasional contact so I speak from experience. Is he cunning... Yes. Is he pretty ruthless?... Yes. Do I think the comms are bad.... Yes. But is he the right for this job? Yes absolutely the right man for the job - we need what he brings to the table when negotiating with the big guns; he's uniquely qualified on what Arc needs. But it doesn't mean I am not worried because of what I see about the way the BoD communicates. I am constantly worried and your aggressive posts don't allay that concern.
Hi Seisnav. Thank you very much for the very detailed analysis of where we stand and I think/hope you are right. Let me reiterate that - your view is hugely appreciated. My point is this... why am I hearing an excellent synopsis of where we are only from you on a BB... but nothing like this ever from the BoD...,? Where is a simple company presentation saying these things? Where is an update on the aeromag survey, the results of which were meant to be available three weeks ago, even if its just to tell us investors that they have been completed and are being shared with interested parties... at least then we would know they have been received? That's my issue. Do I believe they will do a FAB deal. Yes, because there does not seem to be any plan B so there has to be a deal of some sort... and if I didn't believe it I wouldn't still be here. But I believe that based on current and passed experience, if something goes wrong, the BoD will not keep us informed.
Sorry Meercat... I have 3.5 million shares which is a big holding for me.
Completely agreed Meercats. we all hope the BoD is doing something to move us forward, but its the communication that is worst. It always seems that shareholders are the last to know anything; and I completely understand that in mining, especially investing in Aim stocks, there are risks - that goes with the territory. But its everything from the disappearance of the FS due by June last year, with no explanation until very recently, to MM has no case and we there is nothing to settle... followed by a settlement; to Casa not paying up but we are only told after the event. The BoD may have perfectly good reasons for all of this, but it's too like the old days where investors were there to be told only when it is suited the BoD, rather than being treated as fellow owners, which we are, and being kept informed as anyone who's got their own money at stake wants to be - the result from my side is that however good any deal is, I have a lack of trust. A good deal with a major will be great, but it doesn't change the communications problem.
Quite right Analytical... I missed that chart! Thanks, but it also brings to mind a different question, which is, how often do people have time to read the detail in any 43-101 because they are so long!
Hi Analytical, interestingly have just found a 43-101 feasibility study for the Kutcho Copper Project in British Columbia which plans for 4,500tpd Ore sorter (2 x XRT Tomra - one fine, one coarse) with 560t being rejected - the ore sorter reject material to be used for underground backfill. If you include the capacity for a further 2,000tpd plant, I am assuming that 4,000 tpd won't be too far off what we are looking for. They include the capex for the two XRT sorters (sorters and reject storage bin) in the number for the crushing circuit, but I assume you have to have the the crushing capability, so we would need that too. Anyway capex C$17.3m. page 376, https://minedocs.com/22/Kutcho-FS-11082021.pdf. Hope that is useful.
Hi SeisNav, that was unwarranted! assuming that you are referring to me, that was only my second post... I used the name because I am in the diamond mining sector, and no relation, contact with, knowledge of, your "Ella", other than the fact that I take great pleasure in completely ignoring him/her.
Thanks, also to Turtlewax, Seisnav and Ella. Given how many people (like me) invested in the first place for a deal with AA, do any of you have a view on what a JV deal would have to look like to really impress the market and persuade investors to stay for a much higher price , rather than just cause a wall of selling into a higher share price. I will be pleasantly surprised if we can sell above 8p again because I think investors are now tired of the stock unless the deal is simply amazing, with a substantial (not sure what investors would regards that as) cash component to Arc. But I also think that if we get to early April when the start of the drilling season is around the corner, with no news, and no plans to do our own drilling, no drill rigs booked, investors (like me) will start worrying there is no deal, and without the Casa money, a need to raise more cash. Maybe AA are just doing things in their own time, like all big companies, but despite the story that we have interest from two other companies, all our eggs seem to be in this one basket, so lets hope its the right basket! DYOR! GLA.
Hi all, This is my first post, but thanks everyone for the ongoing commentary; some of it is very helpful... I have exposure to copper through Rambler (which despite the SP performance, I am happy with), and Arc and I have held too many of Oct 20 @3.9p! When I first joined the City in the 1980's, one lesson I thought I learned was; if you buy a share for a reason and the reason doesn't happen, don't look for another reason! My reason was a deal with AA and target price of 8p. Typically the SP hit 8p and I got greedy and didn't sell when I should have!
Anyway, here's the questions, which I would appreciate help with; I'm not interested in Casa... it's relevance is solely whether we have enough cash to continue if we need to do our own drilling (which I hope we don't need), but my question to fellow investors is this. The communication (when there is bad news) has not been good, so be it, but we were told in the recent conference call that there were now no hurdles to stop a deal being done, and the aeromag survey results would be out within "two weeks" and we would see those results (or words to that effect).... it's now four weeks later.
Do you think this is simply a case of any JV partner taking a normal amount of time to analyse them, or is there a worry that they might be disappointing (or not great) like last years drill results (I've worked for years in mining but am not a geologist), and is it possible they could impact on any deal, or is this just targeting? Any thoughts on if we have a deal on the table as was mentioned, on when it could close, most welcome! Finally, could someone please let me know when the drilling season in Zambia should start? End of March? Many thanks in advance.
