The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Was beginning to wonder whether this was really going to happen this year. Lets hope the good news keeps coming now :-)
Be fair ash they have got their approvals in place, their distributor agreements in place, their intellectual property protected, they have made decent sales in what is in effect their first real marketing window, it would appear that the product is well received. Not sure what else cauldron reasonably have been expected of them. I am more than happy and expect much good news over the next twelve months.
On advfn it was suggested that even if the polishing line is installed it might take a while to get operatives trained up to the required standard. This was a factor mentioned when I visited late last year when the finishing line was still in bits awaiting installation.
Re the lack of posts I have to admit to being a bit disillusioned with LSE. I have a holding in Solgold and their board is a joke. Hundreds of posts from willy wavers, or of the "this is gonna fly" ilk. Not a lot of considered comment.
I'm still a holder. Disappointed in the share price but reconciled to holding through to end of year. I commented on what I saw when I visited the quarries and factories. I certainly would not want to ramp or deramp. This is a risky investment so not one for widows and orphans. I am comfortable with my holding, if it works I will make money but if not then I get stuffed but it won't break the bank. DYOR!
Another positive article today by ST. More value to come
What a stonking set of results and with a bidding war to come. Watch this share price. Enjoy😊
Follow up to written questions awaited
Well the market certainly seems to like the news !
Excellent news. When I visited they had lots (hundreds) of blocks cut and awaiting processing, though unclear how much was suitable for this order. I hope this significant order will reassure the doubters. As I noted below I feel the real value here will emerge if Fox establishes itself at the centre of the Kosovan marble industry and becomes critical for Stone Alliance
PS Checking my earlier postings I see that I have posted mostly re. Pure Wafer, Eden and Avation but made an earlier posting re. FOX on 12 January 2016. My first Fox purchase was in October 2015 at almost 18p (ouch), though thankfully my average is now a lot less than that! So make of that what you will
Hi Guys I am still here. I did,t bother posting photos since Fox released a video clip of the cutting bed cutting the first block of marble. Had I waited a week the RNS and video might have saved me a trip but in fact we enjoyed the trip (my wife came too). I was pleased to note the quarrying activity. I have no idea whether or not the resin and polishing section of the line are now operational - it would be good to know. Also cutting one block is ok but I believe that it is quite a skilful job to set up the cutters efficiently to get good results so I guess there will be a bit of a learning curve. I have been monitoring this site and also ADVFN though to be honest there are so many willy waving smart arses on the ADVFN site that I have not bothered commenting there of late. I topped up when I got back from the visit. I recognise that my investment is risky, and not for everyone, but it is at a level that I am comfortable with in the context of my overall portfolio. I accept that this is not one for widows and orphans but I am reasonably relaxed about timing of sales, albeit that crash flow could be an issue. I actually think there might well be a big opportunity to come out of the Stone Alliance Venture with the Kosovo govt. Politically Kosovo is important to the west. The US, EU and UK will not want it to fail. It serves as a buffer re. Russia and there is a lot of US, UK and European money going into Kosovan development. One of the stated aims of the Kosovan Govt. is to develop its Marble industry. Stone Alliance is the vehicle for this and if it flies Fox should be very well placed. Again all high risk I know but thats my view and if they can pull it off those who sit tight could do very well.
Many thanks for that PPJ

Share price is showing signs of life. Has someone got the whisper on the sale of the turboprops?
Received into my account today a further 5p distribution. By my reckonning I was expecting a further 8p per share so still hoping for that but have not read anything from the liquidators yet.
With the sale of the 5 fockers and the possible sale of the turbo prop fleet of 20 planes we would be left with just 11 planes, 9 airbus and two turboprops. This would bring the discount to nav into sharp focus and should push up the share price. Any other views out there?
Dibs61. As your intrepid investor I assure you that I am a PI with no other connection to Fox. I was in fact a little ****ed off today to get home from Kosovo and see the RNS, which might have saved me a trip. However only a little since I did get my own confirmation, which was satisfying in itself and also got to meet some of the local team. I also got to see something of Kosovo, which was interesting. I believe that this share will come through. It might take longer than we would all like and god knows it has done so to date, but I think it will eventually come good. If you take a different view then surely the answer is to sell and move on.
