Hi Spud, if this has broken out of it's sideways channels, in my opinion that is a good thing. Free movement is normal for stocks. It offers the opportunity to make losses back in the future. Large holdings in many stocks are being worked down as the end of this economic cycle approaches. Some American companies are posting record profits but are at 12 Month lows, because of this.

Hi, sadly not with AMC, the liquidity is too low & there are large volumes waiting in the wings to be sold. Which is a deterrent.

As usual retail posters who don't have a clue how the stock market operates. A rise in nickel will not affect the sp, only make the project more feasible. With a minimum of 5 years to production, at this point in time it's irrelevant. However it keeps some busy with a posting hobby. And if you don't know how to make money on the stock market, that's all one can do.

Hi Cossy, a gap down or up is when a large block trade is entered onto the system in the pre market, which can then be viewed by others. At open the stock goes into auction & five minutes later, can open say 50% up or down. At start of trade the stock typically drops further as stop losses are then taken out. Corillian had �100m wiped off it's market cap this way, one morning The catalyst for this was a 1% of market cap sale by a Fund, which then drew in others sellers on to the system. This occurs all the time with stocks. When this happens the stock can drop to a new trading range & stay there for many years. This is why leaving money exposed long term, is risky.

Ducatti, I love your posts. Over time some learn & some never do. In fairness though the industry does market equities as investments, which doesn't help. Everywhere it�s investments, thing is that�s not what the Pro's do.

Hi Cossy & thanks for your reply yesterday. You do raise some good points. My point is that this project needs funding which is understandable & the question is, is the current strategy working for all concerned ? Nosell hi, I trade with & against algo's, trading liquid stocks. The object is to make money each day, which pays the bills. I do not treat stocks as investments, that's for retail novices. However there are times when I will hold, if an equity is trending up. Speak to a currency trader & they will tell you why they avoid equities. Gapping down is a main reason, which even the experienced can not foresee.

I don�t believe the current funding strategy is the best option. It would have been much better to issue the new shares in the same way as with Crede. The stock could have fallen to say 2p & then been traded back up again. Holders would have had the opportunity to average down & traders could have made money. Much better than drip feeding into the market, to reduce impact.

Ducatti hi, it's a shame that you didn't attend the 'investor' event. It would have been good to see a PI 'investor�' asking questions at the end of the event. I note the Lady speaker also summarised with some experienced stock market truths.

Nothing much changes here, same old retail investor waffle. Making loads of money, no, wonder why ? Completely wrong subject matter as usual. How do people make money every day on the stock market ? what a mystery.

Comical, blind leading the blind. Misunderstanding how the market operates, that's a good one & regarding investments, shouldn't retirees be invested in income products not high risk venture stocks, with 'possible' gains, year out.. Not exactly within the FSA's guidelines, is it.
