I view anyone that has not worked in the industry & been trained in the specific area of market mechanics as a novice because that is the only way to know what is occurring in the background without guessing. Or taking a lifetime to try to figure it out. Re PI’s & using this as an example, looking at the PI nominee accounts, what do you think their input value might be over the past 14 years ? £125m, £350m, £500m or more, now look at the market cap to see what their ‘investment’ is worth. Next ask yourself, where has da money gone…

Rjthe4rd hi, seen the film the wolf of wall st ?, the industry really is just like that but more sophisticated these days using algo’s. ‘Marketing & sales’, pays the bills. Stocks side-channel because most of the time there is someone selling in the background. A hedge fund with a large position, Co issuing shares via an intermediary or Market Makers simply stimulating low volume activity. Without the selling stocks would be parabolic. As previously stated it cost nothing for Pro’s to move these low vol stocks. The massive HZM gap that Geng refers to only cost £122,943.06 but millions will be sold to PI’s in the Weeks that follow at the elevated price level. As the unknowing try to trade it.

Hi etank, noticed the drop off in trades ?. Perhaps someone finished selling their position on Tuesday. Without ‘stimulation’ to induce novices to keep buying, looks like things are back to normal. That said, good to see Sales progressing well.

Novices do like their high risk AIM stocks. Just look at the stock in issue, the PI nominee accounts must be bulging at the seams. Looks like standard Pro activity. Gap the stock then spend the next few Months off loading to novices at an elevated price level. Cost peanuts to gap a stock but the following traded values are in the millions. Lets see if it reverts back down to it’s long term averages. August 2019 reloaded, time will tell.

Take care you don’t get trapped in again. The current market reminds me of the tech boom in 1999. When the market disconnected from main st fundamentals. I was trading cult telecom at the time, which was regularly bounding by 50%. As you will be aware the market mechanics running in the background is far more sophisticated now & the algo’s are excellent at taking money off people.

Volumes way down, time for more marketing to get the little fish nibbling perhaps. Lots of stock pending to get sold into the novice nominee accounts. Sales are the most important factor.

Issue of equity RNS, you know it’s coming

It is an odd stock this. A declining graph since 2012. Heightened trading off the bottom this year & now equal supply to demand. Might that be selling at an elevated level ? It will be interesting to see what’s next, up or doon. Maybe the issue is a lack of retail traders / investors in the mix, to take money off.

In just one month, the Jim account has offloaded the remainder of their account, around £211k in value, into the novice nominee accounts. So things also looking good from a sales perspective. Marketing is the key to healthy sales.

Is that before or after the issue of equity ?

Nothing changes here, novices still jumping through hoops to the tune of the marketing. ‘Long term investing’ with the golden nugget at the end of the rainbow. Nothings actually changed has it. No change to the business model, projects still funded by issuing shares & there’s plenty pending.

This was my calculation at the time of the RNS: ‘USD210 million and is expected to be funded with Premier Oil equity’ $210m = £168m287,700.00 divided into the equity & by current issue = 31.85 pence per share. But there are a lot of unknowns ie number of new of shares & any other account house keeping etc.

Excellent to see large period sales going through over the day at elevated levels. If this continues there should be no need for any other funding mechanism. All marketing assistance on this bb is helpful.

Good to see sales progressing nicely but surprising that they have continued after the completion of the Jim account. Next up warrants & options prior to the main dilution commencing. Sales are the most important factor.

Well dune Geng, if you’ve made a profit, you must be in the less than 1% club. The increase left on the table yesterday was 18.21% but the bought to sold stock ratio was only about 1.08. The 0.08 accounted for the increase. That being said good to see volumes increasing which will be enabling stock to be sold into the PI nominee accounts. Next up & over due to be cleared is the warrants & options. Never a let up for the marketing & sales departments, but that’s what this is all about.

JulianM hi, I posted years ago that it would be advantageous to understand share pricing. Especially with illiquid AIM stocks. It’s amusing that if the days actual increase is 96% but only 8.97% is left for PI’s. No one notices. Far better to be distracted with the usual retail blur.

Well topsharepicks, The stock had an average traded value over the day of £209,338.35 but only closed up 1.29%. And a UT to boot. Some large PI buys & large sell trades with ACTX trades either side, plus two after market trades. Your quite right it’s pretty obvious isn’t it.

Yes top traders often pick illiquid stocks for low risk exit. This almost closed at 1.15 a few days ago, minus about 18%. It only takes a few large sells to extract the increased value. Without regular UT’s a correct valuation is unknown. Be aware of who you are trading against, they may have other objectives for your money. Have fun & gamble responsibly.
