Proposed Directors of Tirupati Graphite explain why they have requisitioned an GM. Watch the video here.
II credited my divi instantly (which for me was ahead of the NYSE day's opening which was useful). However I invested in PALM 'cos Dr K is Chairman and all the RNS made very interesting reading. Like john I have some reservations both about the years which may pass before Salinbas has a big impact, the fact that we are now only a quarter of what we were before the recent JV and clearly Dr S has other interests to in mind and over the years has put together a fine crew.
So for better or worse I have reduced my overall holding by 1/6 and increased other holdings which are making money quicker. I can always take profit therein and re-invest if the JY starts looking very promising.
Investors seem to be getting nervous of the time lapse before Hod Maden will be earning money for Sandstorm. It looks like it could extend into 2025 whereas the original hopes were that by sometime this year exploration would be fairly well completed and mining might start the following year. Then there is the fall in the Turkish currency and whatever Erdogen might do next.
gwm - I'm not sure how to rephrase to help your comprehension of what I am referring to.. For those contributors who have been involved long term in AAU, I am sure they got the gist of my comment and with respect you may need to go back some years on this Chat to get the full picture of this Company's progression. Basically our investors have at the very least doubled their money in less than 2 years. I doubt that you will achieve that by trying to quantify likely dividends and/or tipster's recommendations in public advertisements. First and foremost Ariana Resources has been set up by first-class geologists to explore and hopefully discover potentially valuable sources of rare/valuable mineral deposits. There was never any hint of handing out any dividends to investors. The situation has changed following the recent formation of a Joint Venture, especially since the so-called "Hot Maden area of Turkey is expected to yield a very large amount of gold and silver. The nice part is that Ariana might now share around 23% of the production income if our Salinbas location is developed and is as good as our directors believed. However production is not imminent but somewhat in the future. As johnpwh has just pointed out , regular didends is something else and will, at some future date, be totally dependent on what the newly created Joint Venture may feel appropriate in due course.. Meanwhile our highly-qualified geologist/director also has other " irons in the fire" to look into as well as well as AAU.
Finally, it has frequently been my experience (and also that of other contributors here) that every time Ariana puts out a RNS with good news, it does not usually send the share price careering upwards and sometimes quite the reverse happens...to the chagrin of many punters. Overall the majority feeling is that our SP has been always undervalued so far. PAUL1D has just added a valid pointer on here. Okay now, gwm12?
Usual SP valuation response to another Ariana Success, Borrowf, but that's been the norm for years now. And as for our " gold bugs'? Price down yet again...I'm not seeing that vaunted $2000 an ounce. No profits...just wishful " prophets" DYOR
We have a saying, Doze (on my side of the pond). Casinos weren't built for winners. You just might find our adverts or thoughts have some mutual connection. It's called " follow the money" Who pays the piper? I often wonder how Warren BUffet's mind works....or does he have a team with crystal balls (lol). Our NYSE is shut today (Labor Day Holiday (or Labour Day if you're Canadian). That should put the mockers on the LSE share prices until tomorrow, I guess.
Bulls,Prophets,Winnie etc etc. It's all krap designed to create fright or draw in funds and/or publicity. C'mon, Doze, it's a business....just like hearing all the companies who are the top shares a few dyas after it happened and you are just too late!
DYOR and certainly read carefully the views expressed by some knowledgable and/or very successful punters here and on ADVN.
Interesting,. John., but if say it was paid after the 2nd tranche, perhaps late Spring or by the following AGM it may have entered the UK tax year 22/23. (It would be within the USA tax year ending 31 December 2022 though)
The RNS issued 20 July last inferred that...
" First tranche of the Special Dividend of 0.35 pence per ordinary share is intended to be declared as an interim dividend and paid during Q3 2021.
Second tranche of the Special Dividend of 0.175 pence per ordinary share is intended to be declared as a second interim dividend and paid six months thereafter.
Final tranche of the Special Dividend of 0.175 pence per ordinary share will be proposed for approval at the 2021 Annual General meeting."
We have been informed that the first tranche will be paid on 26 September next. Accordingly, on the basis of the above quoted RNS the next (second tranche) should be paid at the end of March 2022 (i.e. six months after the first). The final tranche was to be proposed for approval at the recent AGM and we have been since been informed that " all resolutions were duly passed" . Anyone know if a payment date was put on the third tranche?
· Special Dividend will represent an aggregate payment of 0.7 pence per ordinary share.
Strong Buy - says 5 out of 6 quoted analysts on "Ameritrade". The sixth says " hold" . No one on this Chat is saying anything!
One punter has taken a fair plunge today but I guess many have fled the falling SP and this Chat is getting somewhat quiet. Remember all those last year gurus awaiting that $1000 gold price?
I share the concern of Cygnus (6 months ago) and no other posters (other than me) for over2 years. Ah well ...one day?
" What about the grapes of wrath, how do you handle them?" (Paul1D). A sad time, Paul, and I have no love for Oklahoma...it just ain't like the musical. However it did become a dustbowl and Steinbeck's novel is a classic. It's a little sad too that 100 years or so before the Native Americans were forced during the "Trail of Tears" to leave their lush & beautiful lands in the east (where I now live). Its kinda belated justice that the "Indians" now have lots of natural oil & gas under their many acres of Reservation in OK.
I'm not a communist (as I think you once hinted) but I am a strong supporter of the Trade Union Movement. With respect I feel you need to research our "Right to Work" State Laws ' cos there are some " nasty" bits in there for employees. Maybe a capitalistic-dominated society is better than an autocrat-run one but either way the lower grades toil on under the mushroom.. Maybe it's better to be employed by the John Lewis Partnership than say Amazon. Either way, I'm retired and enjoying it. Have a great weekend ya'all !
Points taken, Paul!D. This old wrinkly prefers Skyr to yoghurt, but thanks for the thought. Yes, I know about fires.. They are called California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada. Then there's the water...or lack of. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix will be in serious trouble if there are no monsoon rains or heavy snow this winter.
This is just another AIM "Lifestyle" prop-up...a continuation from Caspian imho. I fled a long time ago. But we can all make mistakes (as the hedgehog said to the toilet brush)
SP is a little sick and no one has posted for a week. So much for everything being " good news" . But then I did suggest this year would be a roller coaster and spreading the divvi into three tranches imho was not a good idea.
I'm not sure whether we are in a " Softly, softly, catchee monkey" situation or a " Slowly, slowly " one. Having said that it seems that most of the Royalty Companies (including Sandstorm) are all heavily invested in exploratory miners rather than those actually increasing production (or for that matter dividends to their investors). Right now there are so many political scores to be settled (internally and externally) that everything is fogged up (I could have used a different " f " word) but it's a nice summer's day, I'm comfortably retired and even appreciate Paul1D's last comment! Have a tipple, eat some jammy dodgers or go forth and renovate a Bond Bug or something.
My tax is affected somewhat differently to most of ya' all.. our US tax year ending 31 December. So the latter two tranches will be in " my" same year and thus taxation will be on half the divi spread equally on each of 2 years. Unlike you we pay on the total capital gain amount (but we can carry forward losses from previous years...which I have some.
Other than that, I agree that our sp may drop at ex-div time but I have a suspicion that , by pure co-incidence, (lol) there will be regular snippets of very welcome info about our other sites and mining interests which will counter such drops and perhaps even take our sp to new heights, especially if gold price rises and our overall production increases. What I am not sure about is whether what we have known as Ariana will be disposed of (like Lydya Madenclik to Sandstorm....all ready for the big boom of Salinbas etc. I also think that Dr S, by then, might just have something equally interesting for us to invest elkswhere. Just my thoughts, Ladies & Gentlemen. Meantime I've just sold out my Mexican airline shares as a 5 bagger and wondering if Hungary's Whizz might be the next high flyer. I'm getting a bit scared of mines, oilies and even marijuana! How about cryogenics? Anyone fancy a mammoth or maybe a tyrannosaurus for a pet?
gime but I have a suspicion
