the trade was last Friday .. reported after hours 4.50pm

That just tells me that one or more of the MMs arent taking long positions here atm.... making the ask premium towards close as they don't hold much stock themselves. intersting to see what would happen on open should news land of course.

I think they are just squaring off their books for todays close. Next two days will tell all i suspect.

thats my point John... no company should sit idly by while there is total confusion about one of two (or three) major shareholders' notifible interests and a big decline in SP. Their broker should be all over this as doign nothing damages the company reputation in my veiw when they took such trouble to point out a stable share register in presentations.

moni.. if it ws link they has to be TRI notification by now as the sale occured last friday unless they take the date of the setllement. If it was Acacia likewise. If it is invesco then no notification needed but the confusion and obvious effect on the SP should be subject of at least a company RNS to settle things that there is no material thing knwon to the company etc etc...thats is my view and my point about Cathal is that he was presenting last week stating that their was a solid share register and someone has sold him a duffer there because link and acacia were in talks long before last week clearly..

John the whole thing is corrupt and Cathal has either been suckered or suckered us all defacto. not impressed again.

the other point is that the fater hours 'o' trade notification last week for 25m was at 12.25p and £3m ... why sell at a loss?

For clarity, what I thing John means is that the fact that 4d (as an example) put out an RNS today sating link had gone from circa 11% to 0% was in fact only a notice of transfer to Acacia who have yet to put out a TR1 on that company to notify interest. It does seem plausable given the volume of trades doesnt show a hugh dumping of shares in 4d although Acacia may have been selling anyway.
However what it doesnt explain is why Link havent disclosed TR1 in orph which by comparasion three days earlier. Orph could resolve this by getting onto their broker to sort this out....

Gun yes that is what I thought but in this scenerio they must be going long to buy the shares at a premium and no apread....weird. internet has no answers either..

At present sells are going through at 11.82 and I've been quoted a buy price of 11.80 for the past hour. Does this mean the MM is taking a long position or a short one? It has me flummoxed becuase why not just drop the bid? same happened for a short time last week. Interested to know what it is all about?

North.. the first tranche was 40m share and 4.5m of those went on open offer therefore the remaining 35.5m have been allocated to Institional investors classes already.. clearly not one of them got over 16m which is my point re TR1

Mark, i suspect it is because no one entity got more than 3% of the total company shares in the first tranche allocation ie. 16m
