Jimzi... if your hypothosis were true (which I dispute) you simply cannot account for the 25m shares new ownership by saying they were just sold to settle a trade date via a stock settlement. The amounts (circa 4%of the company ) had to be disclosed via TR1 even if they move them thereafter; unless they go to a market maker directly via transfer. So, three weeks on no TR1 but in your arrogance you dispute; but don't provide any explanation for your stated position.... So please, with the Orph broker on the case and asking questions as Cathal suggested, how can they bypass the rules ?? Enlighten me and explain it with you're own evidence.

Oh dear jimzi .. now you are just making things up. I don’t recall posting it was not at the right price and I repeatedly clarified the logic of my posts but again you try to spin it ... I did not state that my proposition was fact but I did post facts to support my logic and that, dear chap it how debate works. RE the below about o trades.. It would theoretically be an 'o' trade if a market maker registered as a maker in a security sold to another market maker who at the time (of the trade), was not registered in that same security of through another third party so the definition is fluid around reporting of trades between MMs. 'O' is a catch all for other none classified trades types.

Moni- Facts may be a new concept for you to handle but they do exist in the text of rules and regulations.. You might want to ask someone to find them for you while you're in play school most days :)

Where a market maker is approached by a member firm, other than a market maker in that security, it shall actively offer to buy and sell at its displayed price and in any size up to that displayed in its firm quote.4203 - (so do we know the EMS at the time of the trade on the 5th June? I don’t but it is possible)

Where a market maker, who has not caused a back or a choice under rule 4204, is approached by another market maker in the same security, the market maker shall effect a trade with the enquiring market maker at the approached market maker’s displayed price in up to the Exchange market size where the enquiring market maker; wishes to sell the security, and it is displaying on the trading system a lower bid price and a lower offer price than the market maker approached; or 4203.2 wishes to buy the security, and it is displaying on the trading system a higher bid price and a higher offer price than the market maker approached

A market maker which actively causes a back or choice shall be obliged to deal at its displayed price and in its displayed size upon enquiry from any member firm.

Guidance to Rule: Where a market maker creates a back or choice by automatically opening at its overnight price, and the opening price does not reflect the fair value for the security, it is deemed to have actively caused a back or choice. Except where a market maker is ‘left behind’ a moving market, a market maker is not deemed to have actively created a back or choice by virtue of another market maker changing its quote. Where a market maker that creates a back or a choice has already been approached under rule 4204, its obligations under 4205 shall begin with market makers with whom it had not already dealt under rule4204.(Amended N09/17 –effective 3 January 2018)

Also Market Maker often take a stock at a given price and hold the stock with exposure to downside risk (as in this case for example). They mitigate the losses from this in the mean time by managing the spread between bid and ask and make adjusting spread returns as time passes. So between 5th June and now the spread is the means to derive profits from sales on ALL trades not just the stock their brokerage may now hold. I am saying that I believe that an MM is long on the stock and managing downside exposure through the spread. Upside from 12.2 takes care of itself in this example as they will have both spread profit and capital gains... MMs go both long and short . So in this example the surrounding facts do support a hypothesis that Acacia off loaded with one MM while another has yet to play out...

funny that...I don't recall typing published price is meaningness...?? I recall saying that the transfer price didn't necessarily mean a £ transaction in terms of a normal reported sale. The transaction was at 12.2p well below the stated price. In effect the actor took ownership of the stock at that price and at that time but when is the settlement date and on what terms ?? = unknown.

moniman -- I don't actually care for what you think and pretty much find it easy to ignore you but, if you are ever minded to do some proper factual research and post something factual of interest then I'll look forward to reading it.. I wont hold my breath thou..
for everyone else - the latest SP comments I referred to were made during analyst call following results on tues at 21m 30secs ....

25m transferred on 5th June at 12.2p by Acacia... it is shown as a trade but there isn't necessity for the exchange to be backed by £ transaction. So we know that Acacia had transferred to an unknown entity on that date; meanwhile selling off 13m off their own book. So, we know also from the rules governing UK markets that MMs when they hold shares don't have to declare threshold amounts to market, whereas anyone else anywhere in the world holding have to declare threshold amounts in UK listed and UK registered companies no matter what others have posted here about the rules.
The rules are clear if it is UK issued from a UK company it is disclosable. So 25m represented circa 4% of company and three weeks later no TR1. That tells me that a nominated MM holds a lot of stock and still have some to shift.
This logic is also confirmed by Cathal for the following reason: in interviews two weeks ago he stated that the company were unaware of Acacia intentions but that they had decided to dump shares on the open market which, he hoped, would be clear the following week. Then this week in interviews he made a comment that Acacia had dumped on the open market and 'placed' shares with a market maker which he hoped would be clear in the next week or so....

So, there are some facts for people serious about investing to research whereas the clowns on here will berate etc etc.

Factually incorrect - the rules for disclosure of threshold positions apply to all UK and overseas entities holding positions in UK listed stocks. The 3% applies to all listed stocks where the issuer (company) is based in the UK which Orph is. The 5% rule only applies to companies listed on LSE / AIM whose issuer is based overseas...DTR guidlines sect 5.1 etc

The only applicable exemption to this would be where the holding is held by a market marker in which case no such declaration has to be made. make of it what you will but stick to facts !!

Aquae... Noble gesture but you are wasting your time here. This board in infested with 'group think' and people obscessed with seeking reassurance on their decisions. Only positive / rampy posts will be tolerated as people dont want to here the risks of losing capital EVER. So what you are left with is not a debate but a mirror board. It is for that reason I am not going to bother anymore and probably why other good posters seem to have vanished.
As for this share it will come good but the road is long and you dont dilute a company by 20% and expect the same trajectory. Likewise 110m shares that were siting in the blue above 11p are prone to get shifted and i dont see TR1s still. But hey dont let me ruin the narrative that this is a rocket ship etc etc... Listen to posters like moniman or whatever its name is everything is great and youre all going to be rich by Monday. 1. pivots and expands too much, and fast leading to further capax and raises
2. expansion of service spend at time when competition may get ahead and find covid solutions = wasted spend / lost demand
3. plans for immutex and orph don't come off or get delayed
4. fraud (always a risk no matter how small)

2. simple business model, aquire, reduce costs, exploit and sell or monetorise
3. clinical services is less risk in a high demand sector
4. Covid is the perfect PR play and excellent for demand side stimulus
5. hidden assets of Hvivo and Oprhan provide upside potential off the balance sheet
6. The company is adept at pivoting to changing landscapes
7. I like the name :)

Echo that sentiment Gun well said. I love a bear argument as much as a bull argument personally, and, often cause a few myself. Reason is simple, it sorts the wheat from the chaff and people who respond with different veiws and are able to back them up (and those people do exist on here) help me confirm or otherwise the investment case. Its is the only reason I post alongside challenging people posting unevidenced rubbish that it.
Good investors remain wary, especially of their own narrative and framing bias. Lessons I learnt the hard way and at great expense in the past; that and being too lazy to do my own research which was the hardest lesson of all.
