@SI
Agree. I just got back from hols and very happy to see several buying opportunities - TM1, ADV and TGR. .
Planning to add more to TM1 today, just about to close several CFD positions on Brent and VIX for my dry powder.
Some can handle it, most get seriously ill or die if they don't get vaccinated. Some die of dengue, but some catches it time and time again and brushes it off like a cold.
Your choice, your body, your time on earth. just don't kick me out of a shop (again) for wearing face mask please. I want that croissant!!!!
1000k top up this am.
Added 200k shares this am at 3.92. More to come (thanks to VIX and Brent contracts!)
Just forget about the sp for a bit, delays are normal as per current case. The drill will get done, its contracted and rig is not far away.. the BoDs of both companies are keener than we are to get going, so they will be on top of things. So the sp pulled back on Friday and today, together with the oil price on Friday. Yawn.
Wyn, keep yourself occupied. (Fancy going long on Brent? I did this morning and enjoying the sea of blue on my acc. My short on VIX late friday was spot on! 26 then now down to 24 this morning. More dry powder!)
Likewise and thanks. I recall the old days sitting with Malcolm Butler looking at deals. Good luck to you and other investors at Baron Oil on your Timor Leste opportunity under the guidance of John (Ford).
Another £1 to go to get to a fiver before xmas. No drama, no stress. Just nice increases since IPO. Bliss.
@SI, I am in both - SX and TM and pretty confident about their upcoming performance. SX's CEO is a proper smart workhorse. Indeed as you, pre IPOs or at IPO are currently my base investment strategy. ADV and TGR are one offs for me - its only because i heard about them late.
Back to TGR, and quoting @Tradingwalk
"Its crazy how people think 3-5 years in trading is a long time to get rich, but don't think 40 years at a job is a long time to stay broke"
Ah, noted Jezzac. Apologies to anyone who might take that negatively . It was not meant so .
I assume the churn has started again with fellow investors derisking around this point (i recall many had 4p target for derisking).
Just closed my medium sized short position. Chunky :) . Will be using the profits to dip into shares...
Hello SI
Yes i quite like TGR and wanted to come in for ages, the current entry looks good for me ans i had dry powder which is great. Ups down its all fine, so long as at Dec 22 we are at 150 or greater i am happy, and 220 in 2023. Modest, and anything above that i will be over the moon
I am on twitter although had to clean up recently. I am a big fan and follower of IamMarkMonroe - he made me a ton of cash on VIX recently (my first ever short) following his tip. I followed you too a few days ago. We are also both in a pre IPO company which i am looking forward to their IPO next months.
Stole the words from my keyboard! Seems like i am not the only one buying shares and shorting! Good luck.. and watch the fees before closing your short position.
Tried something new today. That falling knife title got me.
Bought a few thousand shares and added a large short position at the same time. Shares are red, shorts are blue. Might as well make money both ways...
Cant agree more SI. Ive added 15k shares yesterday and today.
3 days in a row now we are testing the upper Bollinger band. Wow.
Thats great info, appreciated it SI. If it goes as plan, should put a smile over christmas. !

Due to gas price, revenue is up for them. $1mm a day at my last check. Therefore more confidence on their bond payment. Coupons are fixed.
I am sleeping on their shares until AA flips. :)
Thanks Jimarillo but youre confusing water depth and reservoir depth.
Its reservoir depth that determines drilling time. 3400m from subsea or about there is Buffalo's depth. Thats roughly Upper Jurassic sands in UKCS in NNS and CNS towards the west and also near the border of UK / Norway, give or take.
At 3000m+ water depth, you use drill ship. Jack ups are limited to circa ~100m, beyond 100m its semi subs.
So Maersk broke world record at that water depth. Nothing to compare with Buffalo on drill rates. Plus, jack up vs drill ship, again not apple to apple.
My 70 days is based on wells designed in the North Sea in the last 3 years, and ive checked. Like i say, if they can do it in 30+ days, i will be over the moon (and rooting for it!).
@SI
Yes, all my career. Went through the grind (albeit fastracked) from engineer all the way to c-suite before retiring (lucky enough to do this in my 30s during the oil price boom in 2013).
