LBE have £100,000,000 in financing for Norway (assume debt and raise for the rest) acquisitions and building a business in Malaysia around the monster prospect they’ve acquired.

If you check the Norwegian petroleum website for statjford Ost, you can see 4 of the 5 wells are now drilled. Last presentation shows the production is closer to 800-900 STB In 2024. Kind of a poor scale though so maybe reading too much into it.

Either way, another deal of similar size would have us doing decent production numbers. Hooding for something slightly larger though (2-4000). There are deals out there to do, the board just need to screen them.

Really keen to find out more on Carmen. Does anyone know when they are drilling appraisal wells.

Not sure on Carmen. May be a stand alone development based on the estimated size.

Kveikja I believe is being considered for tie back option as part of a Troll B redevelopment. Few points on Kveikja, the Oil water contact was never penetrated so potential upside above the 60MMboe recoverable. Lotus feels practically nailed on, Rooke and N’roll sound like potential targets again since they’ll be drilling anyway.

A few days back it was mentioned the longboat puddles wouldn’t get developed but Kveikja alone is a no brainier with Norway pushing for additional production and Equinor pushing through life extension programmes. Combined with a find at Lotus then combined its 100 MMboe excluding the gas.

Based of similar fields Kveikja would be a minimum of 20,000 barrel a day peak production field. If lotus comes in too with similar properties the. Again another 15000 barrels peak production.

Feels like the point around the Carmen discovery extending into longboats acreage was missed.

Longboat could end up with a unitised % of a decent discovery for free

As mentioned previously though, here for the acquisitions. LBE can’t seem to get it right with regards to exploration, either the gas is there and the reservoir is poor or the reservoir is good but the gas isn’t there. Time to move on and leave it for the big boys.

On Velocette though, no idea. Time will tell. But in the words of Peter lynch, if you have a company that you understand and can see the picture emerging, forget what the market thinks. $150 million financing and assets for sale means revenues will grow and there is a direct correlation between revenue and share price ;)

Has LBE approached Kufpec r.e. They’re speculated asset sales. This sounds like the exact type of deal the board are looking for. Noting that last year Lime bought their YMC asset for $68 million which produces 5,000 STB a day. Interesting time to be at LBE

OMV RNS gives the 61 days in the event of a discovery. 45-50 days seems like a good baseline for a dry hole. Half way through now :)

I’ll be voting against for the same reason. Capricorn energy has a bunch of sub par assets in Egypt and a cash pile that’s depreciates every day.

As already mentioned, SAVE or SEPL would make much more sense for a merger. Nothing in common with Capricorn other than they are on the same continent

Lol delapsus. Duster? This isn’t a wildcat in a frontier play. Oil been found at every hole they’ve drilled in Guyana. They arnt just poking holes at random and hoping there’s something down there. Question on this is A) is it light oil as suggested by carapa and discoveries in similar targets by Exxon and B) how big is it P90 it’s >600 mmSTB recoverable oil so 1.8 billion barrels high case of STOIIP using a 33% recovery.

Usually drill times have 15% Nnon productive time added on so wondering what the delay is…

Whatever the delay it, it’s nothing to do with capping the well. Companies have to alert the market on significant events… this being one. It’s irritating that Tullow have waited so long because they must at least know the results of beebei by now

Why so secretive, every news outlet suggests this is due in the next 10-15 days. It isn’t hard to give a drilling update, ‘expected to reach top reservoir in X days’, ‘drilling is on track’. Something…. Anything
