Andy CGNR have not updated the economic outcomes but as these are the ones currently posted on the website they are the only ones to go by. Gold price is up but so are opex and capex. Financial modelling of a mine is a complex business, especially for refractory ore like this project, which is why feasibility studies are preferrable to the backs of envelopes. AndyNich you are way off. CGNR published an NPV of $72 million for Clontibret.
Jontfsi, neither will you have read a positive feasibility study report proving viability, despite this project being "development stage" since 2014. Everything here is speculation, good luck with it.

I'm not the least bit bitter. But it's well known that the current resource has not been proven viable despite years of trying, and any talk of "10 Moz and more" is pure hype and speculation. The broader market is well aware of this. Good luck to you.

I can only base my own views on those risks on CGNR's disclosures over the years - as that's the information available to the public - which point to significant development challenges at this project to the extent that a feasible project has not yet been presented.

CRK22 I disagree because this is being very clearly promoted by the chairman of the company as a mine development story so questions around how that development is actually going to happen are very relevant indeed. The development has been stalled for years.

I'm suggesting there are probing questions that are fundamental to the investment case, but few of us seem to be asking them.

Noticeable by its absence is any discussion of how this company intends to produce any gold from Clontibret from 2g/t refractory ore and permit and build a BIOX cyanide plant, producing arsenic rich tailings. That is the challenge that has faced this project since it first went in to "development stage" in 2014 and the company's shareholders have never been presented with a feasible and investible project.

I agree, fair posts CRK22, and important to distinguish between published estimates and belief statements of potential.
Seems the 1 million ounce resource reference relates to a July 2008 announcement and there have been a couple of updates since (done at higher grades).

1. Clontibret Indicated and Inferred resources of 517,000 ounces at 2 g/t , independent estimate.
2. 8.8 million ounce exploration target - generated in-house based on a predicted success rate of future drilling, i.e., this is hypothetical
3. 15-20 million ounces mentioned in a company promotional video

2. and 3. are such huge upside numbers produced by the company, and not independently verified, that they deserve to be scrutinised. When you look for the substance behind them you find that there isn't any. They don't even feature in the latest company presentation. Happy investing.

But these small disagreements can be easily resolved since stock exchange rules require that material information be disclosed on a regulatory new service announcement.
