Seems unlikely parkez, we weren't even told what the drill targets were. There's been drilling in other prospects over the years and plenty of talk but no new ounces.

That doesn't sound like impressive progress to me parkez and if you look longer term the resource base has gone from 1 million ounce maiden resource to 600koz to the current 517koz so it seems absurd to be talking about 10 million ounce potential when there have been no added ounces despite years of sunk shareholder funds. Most importantly, the market doesn't believe it.

The stated plan is to develop a gold mine at Clontibret where the resource is estimated at 517,000 ounces of indicated and inferred resource at 2g/t of refractory gold. The project has been "development stage" for over 7 years now with shareholder capital sunk without meaningful progress so we need to hear how this JV and the funding it brings intends to address and progress whatever the impediments are.

I think this could go up in value if the company announces and delivers on a solid plan. Yet I'm classed as a doomsayer.....? Doesn't matter, some people want to keep dreaming, others are grounded in reality.

Sure it's possible, but how likely?

Plenty of folks thought this was a multibagger but that hasn't happened either.

There's potential for growth here if the company would just inform the market properly but some people need to get real about what to expect.

Fairanalyst, this project has been in the market for years so the new JV has to prove that a low grade refractory gold open pit mining project in Irish border country is somehow economically viable and can be permitted.

Anything meaningful will be communicated via a regulatory news release and not some unregulated and uninformed podcast.

I think you are over analysing the posts that have been made. Now that the licence transfer is confirmed we all want to know what's in store operationally because that's what's going to lead to growth here.
As for your reference to royalties, the option with the Crown Estate will already have been agreed but needs to be transferred to the new JV company, that's all. All gold and silver in the UK belongs to the Queen and is managed through the Crown Estate rather than a government department. Presumably just a formality but seems to be taking a bit longer.

I agree it's a positive RNS. The regulatory consents have happened very quickly. Remaining consent is from the Crown Estate which will also be a formality.
Re drilling I was addressing WiseInvestor's comment that they are 4 weeks into drilling. It doesn't seem that way to me based on the language used in this announcement. It's important to have a clear sense of what the timings are for key future developments.

There's no reference to any drilling currently underway though and work programme is referred to in future tense. Reads to me like they've yet to get started.
