Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
@scotty,
you are correct... and I misinterpreted ramping for sage advice.... My fault.... But I got out ... I don't regret missing the increases because I walked away with a healthy profit.... but by luck and not judgement.
I have now applied that to DLG .... I've cashed out because the risk to my gain is not worth the difference between todays SP and a final bid....
I am not and have never said don't buy SD shares.... but I have tried to point out a more balanced view in my opinion
That's exactly my point Gary.....
If only outlandish upsides are posted and discussed then people can be fooled into thinking 34p is a bargain.... or 42p... or even multibagging at 50p.
That's exactly how I found myself over exposed in this share and why I try to add some balance.
AGAIN... don't like it .... filter me
Don't agree ... I'm happy to debate and listen to counter arguments ... If I've said something factually incorrect... point it out and I'll learn..... I have learned a lot here and have applied it to DLG ..... but don't just ridicule and abuse
Any Newbies that got in at 42p are stuck in a wait a see...
Like bookies at the races, the SP (Stating Price) to lure in the uninitiated.... and sometimes the 100/1 comes in and is talked about for ages.
If you're a Newbie and you got sucked in at 42p with money you can afford to lose.... then good luck.... may be you WILL multibag your £1000... but if you've put a serious % of your portfolio into the FOMO easy dounble your money... then maybe there is a time when the risk outweighs the reward.
Like a day at the races..... There's a reason why the SP drifts out at the trackside and the odds get longer and longer and the favorites get shorter and shorter.

Nice balance ....
Takeover and it's multi bag.... yep .... if you got in at 15p.... if you got in at 40p... you'll be lucky to get your money back in my opinion.....
Although you might have a share cert that WILL multi bag in 5+ years
DYOR about how you can get that ;-)
Blimey SA … I’ve read that 3 times and think I only understand 10%…. That’s an indication of my intelligence as opposed to your explanation 🤣
Thanks …. It gives me a starting point to research…
DB … dontcha know city boys go out on Fridays 😜
Hi Deep,
Thank you for your post... it has helped me understand the P/E EBIT more (hahaha see what I did there ;-) )
I also understand why you don't want to say your view of the value as, with the wild swings here, a pile on from one side or another becomes inevitable.
That's our loss as the toxicity of this board (and I am NOT discounting myself here) means we discourage open and rational discussion that we can learn from ... but thanks for your posts .... they help me :-)
Everyday is a school day !

Re counterbids
counterview, which I know some people DO NOT WANT to hear... so filter me....
first DYOR... google is your friend :-)... I understand now the term "ramper".... if the discussion is only how big will the bid be and only £1 or £2 (£200m MC) then it's a no brainer.... get your money in at 35p cause you're guaranteed to multi bag... and do it quick because there's only xx days until birthday/anniversary/horse racing/Tomorrows RNS/Valintines etc etc
Todays EV is circa £295m..... If JD offers £1 then EV becomes £260m .... at £2 it is £360m... Just based on notional values.
Google superdry EV and look at the trends and DYOR

Deepvalue … you seem to know your stuff … and also your posts are factual and not emotive …. Perhaps you can put this one to bed 👍🙏
With 50% shareholders vote and 75% creditors COULD JD tie up a deal with an agreed SP (say 35p) and take it private then CVA… a bit like body shop after the PE bought it ?
Everyone else please don’t jump down my throat … just filter me 👍
Filter me if it offends.... but I'd rather logical rebuttals.... they're just my opinions and I'm happy to hear yours... For example you might say the new CFO would have known about these plans and is why JD appointed him .... or he has complete support of his SLT ... or... well anything rather then just deflect....
Of course, filter is the easiest option :-)
