Firering Strategic Minerals: From explorer to producer. Watch the video here.
Chelseaman this is a question I have asked a few times and generally received abuse for asking … however I am trying to learn and understand so continue to do my own research
I found this helped my understanding
https://www.companyrescue.co.uk/guides-knowledge/what-is/what-is-a-cva-or-company-voluntary-arrangement/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoeGuBhCBARIsAGfKY7yi5TCSS_cqFuCeUiTOIcFTK5-IfwaT7Hsg6ljqlPRGHbJ33tJQkzwaAtKkEALw_wcB
Hope it helps…. This isn’t saying SD is going into CVA but maybe gives an insight as to some options for JD
DYOR and GL
x
I'm interested Evolve, just as I'm interested in what you have to say Justanothernoob....
filter is there for a purpose but I still hope to learn from these people regardless of what they are saying.
This board has deffo helped my understand how I approach others and by seeing the extremes of both sides lets me come to a more balanced and informed position :-)
Hi Knowbody
Yes and that’s what I’m trying to understand and learn for other investments :)
I took most of mine out and left a tranche and then cashed out the rest.
Did I have the same attitude to risk and strategy (hahaha like I have a strategy)
Has he taken profits, if so he’s not that good at timing.
He’s still holding 1.8m shares. Can’t be cash liquidity …. Maybe market manipulation to get the price up before offloading the 1.8 …. But then … why not hold for the bidding war:offer
Confused.com that’s me :)
Morning
Please can you help me understand :-)
If FS is not connected to SD/JD and a TO means SP will be £1+ why would he sell his holding. Also, can he be acting with JD or would this be insider trading ?
What I cannot understand is if we (PI) are holding for the rise isn’t he the same ?
Thanks for any insights
Dean
Toffers - No Problem... I thought you were accusing me of misconstruing, altering and lying.
Look, I was influenced and made my decisions on my trades and I was just trying to help other newbies be a bit more cautious.
Now I'm being influenced and becoming sarcastic and condescending.... It's not me....
I sincerely apologise Toffers.
These shares are not for me because they don't fit my risk profile.
This group is not for me because it is making me behave in a way I am not proud.
Again, I apologise Toffers. I hope you are NOT over exposed and I do hope this multi bags and you can buy the house and do the things you described.
Good luck to all.

Toffers... you said "Dean01 you keep trying to discredit me but it isn't working, and people can read my posting history to get the facts of what i've bought and not what you choose to misconstrue or alter! My posting history shows the true reflection and people can make their own minds up from that."
Sooo... for anyone in doubt... Click on Toffers name.... scroll to the bottom.... click on page 7 (prob page 8 now the amount she posts) scroll down to 15 Feb.... @11 and 11:01
Bless

Oh Sweetheart Miss T..... you do know you've left receipts all over the place :-)

If it's 100,000 shares its me, I just bought them!"
Fordy - I'm flattered that people think I have multiple accounts.... but nope .... just mea newbie rambling.... All the receipts are there to be seen. Like I said .... I fell into this stock before I found this BB (I clicked the link on Google Finance where I keep track of my portfolio)
I really wish you the best of luck and I hope you guys do get an offer and it works out.... honestly ! (yes, even if it means Ms T gets paid hahahaha)
Thanks for the debate and see you on another BB
Ohhhh Ms T, Sweetheart.... if only you could learn to research anything..... Their are receipts for both you and me but that would involve reading and thinking, wouldn't it :-)
Here... I'll help you darling

Again .....as a newbie maybe I am misunderstanding but I hope this helps someone :-)
Bless x
Go and check the timings sweetheart..... and also my post where I said the sale was showing as a buy ..... oooo ... just like you said ... your sales where showing as a buy.... when you were selling high and buying low.... unless YOU were lying (that's how to use caps, Sweet) OOohhh wait a minute .... does that make you a trader not an investor :-)
Make a sentence using these words Ms T - Petard - own - hoisted
5) A low ball offer will also bring in the huge retail empires that see such a low ball offer as an opportunity to pay a bit more and still get a bargain
There are no huge retail empires that I can think of that SD would fit easily into their stable....can you give an example?
6) Because of 4 and 5, the offer put forward has no chance of being 'low ball' in relation to the lowest valuation of £400m
This equates to £4 SP.... so even if JD comes in at £2 (which is what the rampers were talking about then... and I fell for it) a potential £600m company means others would be piling in for sure
7) A bidding war is still possible even if the first offer is not 'low ball'
Unless everyone in the sector doesn't want to throw good money after bad
8) There is no way to lose money here unless an offer does not come in, but as per Sky News today, the CEO is actively putting together a group of very wealthy people to make the bid happen with the minimum need for financing at a cost. The rich will own SDRY and become the Directors of it. They will build it up and float it back on the market for well North of £1Bn in a couple of years, making themselves a tidy profit.
= this is a kinda ramping statement.... :-) if it was 100% we wouldn't get a sniff of buying shares :-) Whoever buys it still has to radically modify the business. Massively reduce costs of which leases and employees are the most expensive followed by manufacturing contracts. I think it's 60% offer versus 40% CVA prepack. I calculated I made a 35% ish gain .... that's good enough for me.
9) The old market adage of "follow the big money" has never been more appropriate than it is
Doesn't look like the money is following SD
Ticker Name Mid Chg Pct Bid Ask High Low Trades RNS
ASC ASOS 377.60 -22.40 -5.60% 372.00 374.00 408.50 367.00 859 0

DOCS Dr. Martens 95.10 0.05 0.05% 94.35 94.95 95.60 92.05 468 0
JD. JD Sports 113.10 1.00 0.89% 113.45 113.55 113.75 111.70 1,345 0
OCDO Ocado 534.60 -1.40 -0.26% 529.40 530.40 536.60 519.40 1,183 0
SDRY Superdry 33.65 0.65 1.97% 33.00 33.40 33.95 31.80 278 4
Thanks guys...and I'm going to reply because this is all good learning for me :-).... plus I like the debating :-)
Fordy - Everydays a school day... Evolve and Ms T are two sides of the same coin and I started out pro T and anti E but Evolve has the receipts on this board on his/her predicted SPs.... I think they got carried away overstating their position but ultimately have been right so far. Ms T just went from expecting an RNS offer every few minutes to number plates of the children to celebs to .... well who knows and viciously attacked anyone who debated the other side. Jimini is classed as a deramper by some but whilst DYOR i found his posts factual, educational and balanced. I agree with part of your statement though.... Never listen to a de-ramper but also never listen to a ramper.... or rather listen to all and apply your own attitude to risk and judgement :-) Thanks for the input Fordy
Stockcheque
I'm very simple, very very simple, i
1) An offer is being built by the CEO to take the company private
- Is it ... 100% guaranteed. Or is he gathering data and reports and analysis to finally make the decision one way or another
2) The company has been valued by analysts at £400m to £600m
- Any analysis that has a 50% spread has got to be questionable. The margin for error they give themselves is huge. Also, is that analysis the same that will be used by the BoD and any other interested parties. Nope... It's finger in the air.
3) The company is currently only valued at £33.34m so there is clearly huge upside based on even the lowest valuation
- The trend for the next 5 years isn't so good so the ROI has got to be long term (coincidently the same as a CVA say 5 years)
Operating Margin (11.26%) 4.20% (5.30%) (5.30%) (22.63%)
Return on Capital Employed (42.78%) 5.80% (8.99%) (8.96%) (23.91%)
4) A low ball offer will be rejected by the Transaction Committee that is reviewing any offers put forward
- And this may lead to a SP crash, which in turn may lead to a hostile TO which may lead to a break up an IP being sold off in a fire sale
Atrades ..... only one chin buddy.... I might be old but I'm reasonably fit :-)
Happy with my profit ....as I say this is too risky/complicated for me :-)
Wish you the best of british ...and if it bags ( which depends on your avg SP of course) I'll be the first to come back and say well done :-)...... BUTTT it was this kind of frenzy that pushed (well I did it so my fault) my avg SP from low 20s to mid 30s... Just be careful
Lots of love
Dean
