I still think we'll see a stock market correction in the near future. The bull market is going into overload IMO, the price of oil is surging all based on sentiment, not fundamentals. The longer term is much more positive for PFG though

Thanks Rufiji, always good to get an understanding on the ground. I must admit I feared/fear worse and I’m not so optimistic about this year, expect it will be better but not massively so after this outbreak. I’ll keep my fingers crossed

I'm not sure why you think they've missed their chance Phoenix? If anything, momentum is building. I would say performance and development to date has been slow and disappointing and I do question whether they have the commercial nous to be able to achieve its full potential, which is why i have held back investing more, but i still think there are more positives than negatives here

Whilst the prospects remain good, it's a pretty disappointing RNS however you dress it up. The core numbers don't lie. They need to turn the 'jam tomorrow' into hardcore results, and I question whether they are able to do that. Will hold off averaging down for the time being

Agree Ralph, but things are moving in the right direction. The Govt will assist with financing, the partner is the missing piece of the jigsaw

It was 830-840 when I was looking. May have missed the boat, but these things have a funny way of working back around - you only need to see the peaks and troughs in the charts over the past few months to see that

I think it will retrace in the New Year, fundamentals are driving it higher but also the general FTSE is on the rise. I expect a drawback at some point

Bonomo is worthless to BLVN, so would not care if the deal fell through. It's worth far more to VOG. The terms that Kevin signed were extremely unfavourable to BLVN, a desperate last act to try and saviour his position, when in fact his legacy is giving away an asset (albeit one which wasn't as promising as first hoped) for next to nowt. Etinde is the only play for BLVN, nothing else is really of relevance now.

I was referring to the general stock market rather than this share. This share has a lot of upside and I may have temporarily missed the boat buying in but I'm hoping it will retrace at some point. I've learned to bide my time, having rushed into shares on spikes previously. Not saying this is a spike by any means, as it could well double in the next year but I'm looking for a slightly lower entry price

I think the market is definitely towards the peak, spurred on by the economic growth and tax cuts they're pushing through in the US. But it will have a downward shock at some point, history shows that. The question is when.

Thanks Chartist2. I'm watching closely now I have a bit of capital spare, and just biding my time at the moment. Would like a lower entry point than present. Strangely I have a number of shares in my portfolio that Woodford is also heavily in, not sure if that's such a good thing anymore! Fortunately, capita is not one of them!

Looking at investing in PFG, although would like a buy in around 800p. It looks oversold to me, based on fear and uncertainty due to the investigations ongoing and general instability at the top. The core of the business looks sound to me though, and I like buying in companies at low levels. What are people's thoughts here - have we bottomed out?

Interesting.........I agree, if true, then it's certainly of material interest to shareholders. I think the blame would lie with the old board and not COC though, it should have been divulged by an RNS. Don't think you could class it as insider trading. Why haven't we heard more about this?

The difference David, is that Sea Lion is already much more progressed than the other recent PMO finds. There's already been a lot invested in Sea Lion and the infrastructure around, so it would be mad to pull the plug based on some recent finds which are a long way from development. You'd be writing off a lot of sunk costs. PMO have been looking for a partner to reduce risk. I'm surprised this hasn't materialised as yet, but regardless the combination of political will and assisted finance will make this a reality imo
