I don't think a big merger. But the government (either directly or indirectly) will be looking at the wider energy piece and how they can minimise risk and protect interests. Therefore, I can either see direct funding support or indirect support through influencing someone like BP to take an interest in Falkland Islands. On the latter, the question is would BP want to risk repercussions from Argentina and potential reputational damage? It's always put larger companies off to date

You'd expect there to be less external noise to any award, with the conflict going on. Countries across Europe are now reassessing their energy make-up and Italy may even do a u-turn on their ban. Who knows where that leaves RKH and the award..............it's been endless waiting, for what reason I'm not quite sure.

Everyone has their own strategies nr cynic and if that is yours then good on you. Hopefully good news will flow, the SP will rise and you’ll be out soon enough and then everyone is happy

Not sure the relevance of what you have invested vs what I have...........but if you have such a large holding there are better ways to force change than selling into any uptick. Why don't you start a shareholder motion with other iis and PIs to mandate change at the top?

Well he talked about intention for itaconic acid production in US and Europe, although some years off. Good to see it's in the plan. For John, that was a very polished and bullish performance. It should go some way to allaying any concerns. Wonderful time to top up now at these prices

Surely the Ukraine/Russia developments should act as a catalyst to the Falklands development getting the green light from the UK government, and perhaps financial support? This is what Boris has just announced:

Boris Johnson says shifting away from Russian oil and gas would help with the UK's energy security.

He says the volatility in gas prices in Europe is a "consequence of that failure" to stand up to Russia in 2014 when Crimea was annexed.

The PM says: "In the UK we have been able to reduce our dependency on Russian gas very substantially. Only 3% of our gas supplies now come from Russia."

Johnson says the response includes granting licences for UK gas reserves but also shifting to low-carbon energy, including nuclear power.

He added: "The faster this country can be more self-reliant on our own energy, the more prosperous we will be, but also, of course, the more sustainable our energy prices will be, and that will benefit the UK consumer."

Some strange posts on here today. I'd like to hear further about the rationale for a raise and just who is supposedly buying to increase the price to make way for a raise? That's a new one of me.............why would anyone buy to increase the price, only for then to have the opportunity to buy in at a lower price. Strange logic.

People seem to forget that there isn't much free float with ITX, so it often incurs large swings. It rose to 17p last year on speculation. This rise, albeit 30% in a day, is nothing by comparison. I see it merely as resettling after being oversold. Next week will no doubt reveal further, but I can see this back in the 6's next week

Ah sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you meant MOS taking over Quanta. I no longer see that as likely, nor we've secured Live Scores.

But I agree that MOS will become a takeover target at some point. Hopefully not this year though because we have a lot of value at this level

Oultonmike - why do you think they'll takeover Quanta now? I always suspected they would buy them out, but by purchasing Livescores, this makes it less likely now. MOS have what they want..........

Yeah I missed some big trades earlier in the day too, not at the same level as those 2 though. There was one for 1.5m shares. I would expect a TR1 to come out because that is significant. Doubt it's Wilbur Ellis
