I don't think that's paranoia at all i101. If large tracts of the internet were taken down for days or weeks, global chaos would probably ensue. BOO shares sinking into the 50s would be the least of any sensible person's worries.

I think it's only a matter of time before POLY succumbs to one of these outcomes. Only a formal agreed end to the conflict between UKR/RUS could swiftly take that off the table. And a swift resolution looks unlikely - the war will play out over the coming months rather than the coming days.

Yes, absolutely. Any share directly exposed to the Russia/Ukraine conflict could go the same way as Evraz. That will be a big risk here for POLY for a long time yet. Any new investors here should be prepared to lose the lot or have their funds trapped in escrow. It'd be very naive to not realise this and keep it front and centre in any decisions.

No not short. Simply unconvinced by the update. No mention of debt levels, liquidity, profit or cashflow. Last meaningful update was Dec 2021 and they're expecting shareholders to wait until May 2022 for another proper update. I think that's taking the **** out of their shareholders (of which I am one).

Nah, it's obfuscatory in tone. In a really short update yet it's packed with circumlocution. To me, it adds to uncertainty; and the market generally punishes uncertainty.

I'm not convinced by either of those as being solid sources. The way the articles are written, it's speculation and hearsay at most. Explains why no proper outlet has bothered with coverage of what would, were it verifiable, be the only news on every outlet.

I can only see an increase on Thurs if the results include a hefty surprise to the upside. The subject of a potential surprise is not necessarily restricted to earnings only. Absent of that, the prevalent market sentiment (I.e. increasing negativity due to the war and its consequences) remains in the driving seat. And the merest hint of problems springs the bear/value trap with renewed vigour.

This hasn't made it to any reliable news outlet and seems to be based on over-interpretation of Zelensky and some wishful thinking. Not quite fake news, but especially they way it's regurgitated on here, not far off.

He invaded Georgia and annexed Crimea. Hardly what could be described 'behaving himself'.

Norges have to sell a very bruised stake in Poly. They might be looking for a quick bounce to hit okay numbers for the quarter. Then again, they might have some brilliant insight; and again, they could be as clueless as everyone else (but compared to most here, will be buffeted by economies of scale).

If you're that confident it's about to double, you'd put everything you could on it. Are you? And if not, why not?

Don't get why people are expecting a jump tomorrow— the news from ukr/rus is all about a disintegrating, worsening situation. Poly, and any assets directly part of the conflict, tank again tomorrow, along with most of the market.

No détente on the cards; far from it – things deteriorating and positions deeper entrenched. Can only see the deep sell off continuing this week. BOO's sentiment is poor already, and up against the prevailing market, even good results will struggle to lift the valuation. SP in the 40-50s this month is plausible now.
