Not me. Think it'll settle lower in the next few weeks, even if tomorrow is green (looks likely). Once it's solidly in the 50s, I'll re-assess.

The purchases of Debenhams, Wallis, Burton etc. puzzled me. Why buy the IP of very tired brands that are aimed at a very different segment to their core market? And the amounts they paid for them too - £50m for Debs when it was already knackered and done! Didn't seem shrewd at the time and even less so now.

They've taken their eye off the ball and stopped executing as well in their home market. It's possibly begun to hurt them in their home market, but it certainly crimps any international ambitions since for now, the only meaningful growth and revenue is UK; everywhere else looks weak and vulnerable to competitors.

It'll be a very difficult balancing act to not lose the UK whilst at the same time ramping up elsewhere. Worst result would be the ramp up struggling whilst causing stalled UK performance in the process. They need to get to 2024 quicker.

More false statements from the fact-loving T4G:

Of the £325m RCF, £100m was drawn down at the date of results. That's very nearly 1/3rd of the RCF fully drawn; it leaves £225m undrawn at the results date.

You've described the RCF as 'virtually unused'!

Again, the £125m EBITDA was actually 'Adjusted EBITDA' - different to how you keep falsely representing it.

This has placing/rights issue/debt issue within a year written all over it. They've spent money in the wrong places at the wrong time without taking into account how long until it generates income (in the case of £70m London HQ, never).

It's not a surprise that this is, in all but name, another profit warning. Never mind, £125m of *adjusted* (whatever fruitiness that involves ) EBITDA should calm the nerves of those who see a wonderful chance to average down, again.

Just one point amongst many that could be made T4G:

You ought to retract that. From the Consolidated statement of financial position in the RNS this morning: Interest-bearing loans and borrowings (100.0)

I'm not spinning anything. You brought up the supposed significance of directors' 'skin in the game'. I'm asking exactly what that amounts to vs what they already earned from Boo (the Kamani family have several hundred million already from selling down their stakes).

On the BoD's 'skin in the game': consider how much they've all already made & how much their remaining stakes are as a percentage of their net assets. That's unknown, so your inferences are speculative, rather than solidly conclusive as you portray.

This is an 'old rule' you've just made up for convenience because you know what you want to conclude and will desperately clutch at any premise, however weak, to take you there.

Yeah, time to be in Boo was a few years ago. Pandemic was their last real time to shine; but the ship's now sailed and can't see anything unique they do to spark out-performance again.

Market will be very hard on Boo on Weds if the slightest thing about outlook/results undershoots. The sentiment is already so fragile to begin with.

Hmm T4G...premises include: runaway global inflation; war in Europe with possibility of nuclear escalation; a gummed up supply chain; China's pandemic issues; surge in cost of living; basic commodity shortages with threats to the food chain.

Things I've pointed out in short multiple times which you'll selectively ignore and then cite lack of 'evidence' or 'facts' in response. It's unusual you choose to repeatedly show such a deficit for what is quite basic comprehension. Although assuming such a deficit correlates closely with poor self-awareness lends the picture some coherence.

Prediction is cashflow will have turned negative and cash reserves further depleted; net earnings not much above zero; debt will have increased.

I expect they'll talk about optimising the capital structure for international expansion, so the possibility of issuing debt or new equity.

Conditions are very bad with no visibility on their improvement. When giants like Amazon and Apple are reporting how tough it is, the effects for little companies will be far more severe.

Takeover at £1.50 would be paltry and leave most PIs well under water; although that's what typically happens. Can't really see a buyer for this tho since there'd be much better returns elsewhere.

Maybe PE could be interested if they thought they could load more debt on the balance sheet to quickly turn a profit.

Both T-rowe and MW will have much greater knowledge than you T4G. Noticeable how you wriggle out of the question too when you've no good answer. On insults, you're notching up plenty yourself.

Shorts get it right more often than wrong T4G. Who's gonna be better informed about a business? You vs. Marshall Wace, GLG, etc? That's s retail investor vs a wealthy organisation with City connections. Different leagues you're each in.
