I would be very surprised if the Bahamas Government were to even consider BPC doing the drilling. Due to the sensitive nature of the area it had to be an experienced large oil company with a proven track record.

You obviously don't understand the meaning of a confidential agreement as to the reason BPC cannot say why the major oil company is not renewing the exclusive deal. If they are not renewing and there is no deal , they have walked away, end of.

You are in denial, the major oil company has walked away. BPC are now looking to open talks with other companies that were showing an interest before the exclusive agreement was signed. They would not be doing this if they were still talking to the major oil company under the exclusive agreement which finishes on Friday. The major paid an extra £250,000 for extending the exclusive rights until the end of August so BPC have to wait till that is finished. I repeat nothing ambiguous about the RNS it was straight forward and informative.

The very fact BPC is opening up talks with parties that were exclude under the exclusive agreement tells us so, if there was the remotest chance of the major coming back in BPC would not be talking in this way. The 4 other companies that were interested signed non-disclosure confidential agreements a year ago, so they had 8 months in which to do a deal and none did.

Where are the results from the samples sent to the lab, it is now 2 months since according to the company they were sent. Wouldn't surprise me if they were already available and proved to be crap with the company not prepared to publish. Next step is mothball this site and move onto one of their new purchases as they have done in the past.

The Major oil company has the option of a further 2 extensions, which is a possibility hence I said the end of October. It all depends on how the talks are going which nobody outside the negotiating teams know, anything said on here is pure speculation.

What we need to remember is this news could come anytime between now and the end of October.

My past experience of consolidation is the share price will go down. Not much bothered either way as I have written off my bad investment here.

Couldn't agree more with both your comments, this company seems to be unable to bring any hope to the shareholders. First it was the iron and gold in S L, then cobalt in DRC all of which have come to nothing, now we are told they are buying into more useless junk developments. Roger Murphy and his board are sailing this company down the river with no paddle.

All old news, been known for months.

What some on here trend to forget is the fact we could still have a further 2 monthly extensions to the discussions. I hope not but there is that possibility !
