I would have thought some urgency is need, the remaining time that we are in hurricane season which I think is till the end of November could be used for acquisitions ie rig etc as the talk was a 6 month lead in time for everything to be in place for drilling. Now taking another 3 months as you said then add 6 for the lead in time and we are almost into next years hurricane season. Whether or not that will matter depends on the companies involved, they might not be time orientated, as for myself obviously having been in here so long I am impatient for movement.

Doubt there is much chance of this pile of s--te doing anything worthwhile. It seems to be going the same way as Sula, the results will come back and being inconclusive more samples will be required and the cycle will start all over again and so on stringing us along.

You would think after 3 months of a major oil company looking over all the technical info with there expertise that they would be satisfied one way or another with the information. Maybe then the sticking point is the financial side of a JV.

The company RNS just confirms that the SP movement over the last few weeks is pure speculation as they have already given the markets all relevant information.

I agree with you regarding the SP, also don't forget the closed period can always be extended by another 3 months. Ideally if a deal is to be done the end of July beginning August would be good as that would give them the last 4 months of hurricane season to organise drilling. I seem to remember from a few years ago it was mentioned that the organising of rig etc could take about 6 months so that could see drilling starting in January/ February all being well.

You would hope the BG would see the passing of the Environmental Authorisation as a matter of urgency. It is to the Bahamas benefit as well as BPC to get things moving instead of the usual snails pace of the Government.
