I think there are a lot of us on here that would like to be put out of our misery with this company going down. Just hope Roger Rabbit has difficulty finding another company to decimate.
One way or another the speculation should stop after the AGM on Thursday. With the exclusivity period finished at the very least BPC should be able to inform the market whether or not the major walked away.
Hopefully we will get some clarity this week that will put a stop to the name calling squabbling on this board. As I have said a few times now my average is between 7 and 8p so not in my interest to talk this down, also not in my nature to ramp away. I read what everybody else reads and people take different positions, some are saying "show me where it says the major has walked away", the other side of the argument is " show me where it says talks are continuing after the exclusivity agreement ended".
Re the major has walked, there are no facts on the above subject. Whichever side of that discussion you are on it is all speculation not facts. Please note I am purely talking about the current situation and don't want people posting all the known pre major talks info.
Re the major has walked, there are no facts at this point in time just speculation on the wording of the RNS.
Potter's quote, having demonstrated interest from an international oil major, the company was now able to freely re-engage in discussions with all other parties which had previously been put in abeyance.
Read what you want into that, but my take is the oil major is no longer in the picture, that is my opinion to which I am entitled. We will soon find out as the AGM is next week and while we will not get any of the confidential information surely we will be updated on the current situation.
You have your opinion on the RNS I have mine, time will tell and if I am wrong I will stand up and admit that. You have been a shareholder in BPC for some years now as I have and must admit it was a surprise to see you stoop to the level of some on here and resort to name calling. This is a discussion board where people should be able to air their views without somebody of the opposite opinion saying can you read English and are you one of these snowflakes, totally uncalled for.
As I said after the RNS was posted that the major had walked and see nothing to change my mind.
I could keep buying and bring down my average but have always had the feeling that would be throwing good money after bad. With my working days behind me I am sort of causes with my finances and would rather have the money in safer investments.
Yes Kev7722 I misunderstood your comment, I apologise for that.
Us WEAK LTH's as you called us all have different situations, for me I was never actually in profit having a share price of almost 8p. Yes hindsight is a wonderful thing and yes maybe I would have been better off selling some or all but not have your crystal ball I stuck with it.
You are saying any LTH who had sold out is significantly better off than those that didn't. The statement is incorrect in as much as the LTH's (who you say are weak) that like me have held on to the shares have lost nothing. It would only become a loss if we sold and until then it is only a paper loss not a cash loss.
As you say the BG are well known for being very slow in processing applications or new legislation, so why oh why did BPC wait till they were in discussions with a major before applying for the EA. BPC have been in this position before where they were waiting an extraordinary length of time for a bill to be past, but obviously learned nothing from it.
Company going, going and nearly gone. What a mess Roger Murphy has made of the company.
As I said on Wednesday maybe the results are so bad they feel releasing them would kill the company
Its a pity you cant count as 2+2 doesn't make 5 as you seem to think. That statement just shows your whole attitude to people on this site that dare to have a different opinion to you. For your information I still have the same number of shares that were purchased 8 years ago so it is in my interest for BPC to drill a well. As for the RNS, you interpret it one way I another end of.
From reading Neptunes post at 13.42 it looked as if you had been saying something about me, so having looked back in you posts after cancelling the filter I note your post at 12.13. Now you are a stickler for asking people where you said something ,so I will ask you to point me in the direction of my post that said you were stupid to have invested on Tuesday or that I did not want the company to succeed
For goodness sake chill out, don't let the arse-.... get to you. The board is a much more pleasant read with him filtered.
Of course the major has walked, that is why BPC are starting to talk to other parties that were excluded over the last 4 months. No doubt I will take some stick for daring to state my thoughts but that is my opinion and time will tell.
Been in here for 8 years, unfortunately my average is 8p and until the RNS had nearly got into profit. Still hopeful but if the SP gets another boost anywhere near my price might consider selling. Its been a long road so far since the Alan Burns days but as I said still in here.
You will find it a lot more informative with out Scully's crap posts.
