Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
It is all opinions and guess work as there has never been leaks of information from either side.
They haven't proved that one drop of oil is down there yet.
Here we go again, all the dreamers trying to put prices to various scenarios, one even managed to arrived at £18 a share. You will all just have to wait and see but never in a 100 years will it be anywhere near £18, it could just as easily be 1.5p this time next week.
Any legislation will not be good news but will only affect UK profits, we are a world wide company now having the American market opening up with the new MGM joint venture and should continue to grow. If legislation does come then the Government should also have to look at the Lottery gambling. With the huge prize on offer and constant advertising this must be as big a pull for the addicted gambler as any other form.
With the length of time this has been going on and the current share price you can forget the Bentley and think more along the lines of a zimmer frame.
Ok so when I checked it was 4 months not 6, you seem to be very keen picking me up on the length of the agreement but my point is still the same no deal was done.
After all the years the Data Room has been available with oil companies looking at the information (allegedly ) and one major oil company having 6 months exclusive access BPC still could not finalise a deal. Something does not stack up and I get less hopeful as time goes on, even if somehow we manage to get a drill done there is no guarantee we will find oil.
The best thing to do with him or" her" is put them on filter, it makes live much more pleasant not having that drivel on the board.
The Bahamas Government have far more important things to worry about than delaying BPC from drilling. Any news on that will come in due course but for now the priority is Abaco and the other islands that have been destroyed.
I don't know about the above statement but certainly agree regarding farm out. It is now 9 months since the end of the confidentiality agreement and BPC are no further forward. They can come along and say we are in discussion with multiple parties regarding this or that, it means nothing as I have heard it so often. I did move on some months ago at considerable expense but always look at the SP hoping to come back and make up some of my loses, but now this looks a forlorn hope. As for the 20k, that is one buy in a sea of red.
It was a tough decision but I just got pissed off with the share going nowhere, lost all confidence in the BOD and still think the outcome will not be good. I notice the comments that follow your post and can say that I am not influenced by them as it tends to be the same old same old posts .I make my own decisions whether they are right or wrong as I am the only one they affect.
Might be tempted to try and recoup some of my losses, it was a big decision to sell up after being in here for 10 years.
It is now 8 months since the exclusivity agreement ended and nothing has happened with regard to a farm in. BPC have lost all credibility and I am happy to be out all be it at a huge loss.
This year next year sometime never, most likely it will be never.
I have heard this so many times now that my advice to anybody thinking about buying into BPC is do your own research do not be lead by what you read on hear. Too many posts on here make 2 plus 2 add up to 5.
This has developed into the same frenzy we had in August last year when the share price went to 7p only to crash back down to 1.5p after the Major ditched the exclusivity agreement. The situation is the same with the company being in discussions with multiple parties on a farm in, the same statement as was made in September with the only difference being the extended licences till 2021. As for getting reimbursed the £100m that has been spent on obtaining the information and the seismic readings I would ask why?. All this information belongs to BPC, why would a potential farm in partner pay this sum back unless BPC were selling out.
What are you talking about reimbursed back cots of $100m
What part of "no commercial agreement for financing of its exploratory well has yet been reached" equates to Yep deal done
As I said all speculation, could go either way and nobody but nobody outside BPC knows whether they are in advanced discussions with a major.
Been here too long and seen all this before to read anything into it. Without an RNS this is all based on speculation which in the past has not proved fruitful. Could bomb down quicker than it went up.
