I think you need some lessons in investing , good book out there called Investing for dummies.I
If a company pays out £1b in dividends that value is deducted from the MC, whether the SP rises or falls on the day is immaterial

The share may spike but in the majority of cases the fall is even lower, which you conveniently forgot to mention.

Great dividend but don’t forget the share price will fall by the same amount, so at current price SP would be 65p
