This is very good news

Last weekend, China’s National People’s Congress passed an amendment to the country’s patent law, including changes that would strengthen the level of protection for innovative drug manufacturers.

The design patent term will be extended from 10 years to 15 years, meeting a minimum requirement for China to join the Hague Agreement for the international registration of industrial designs, which the country had been working to be a part of.

Drug makers have complained that the protracted regulatory review process of China’s National Medical Products Administration leaves them with diminished patent rights.

Now, patent seekers can apply for a patent term extension for compensation for any “unreasonable delay” of the patent granting process for new drugs. The patent term extension can be up to five years, with the total effective patent term not exceeding 14 years after approval.

Other changes include increased penalties for patent infringements, and proposed details of establishing a patent linkage system. The new patent law comes into effect on June 1, 2021.

joey - your theory is correct if the current mcap of Tiziana attributed a full and fair value to StemprintER, which it doesn't, hence the demerger!

Theoretically there will be a £4m reduction in the mcap of Tiziana (circa 2p) as that is the official capital reduction amount that has been submitted to the Court.

My strategy is completely the opposite, I am an Investor, and intend to continue to make a lot of money investing in early to mid stage Biotechs. Trying to time getting free shares, selling after what people think is the record date or what isn't the record date, and timing within hours is surely a ludicrous way to try to make money. Some people should research properly then invest in a Company. Buffett has made a good career out of it. Day trading is fine but not when it comes to demergers and capital reductions - you are almost guaranteed to lose money.
