Yes I thought the same; it is odd though that neither AFC or Extreme E mentioned it or showed any pics.
It would be interesting to know how large a solar array was needed; a few panels on the top of a container would be unlikely to cut it. Also, who provided the electrolyser?

Clearly, Musk is not a fan of hydrogen fuel cells — at least not for use in cars — which makes sense since he built the Tesla empire on lithium-ion batteries.

The plant is using renewable energy to generate hydrogen; it wouldn't make much sense to then use some of the hydrogen in a fuel cell to generate power for the plant. It only makes sense to use a fuel cell elsewhere to consume the hydrogen!

Can someone ask MSP how many units they have supplied for use with an AFC fuel cell? or even how many such orders they have. You never know, they might give something away!

yes, it is great to see that the AFC system is obviously working well!

Scarpa50: that is what I thought so I've been surprised that the array of solar panels hasn't been obvious on some of the long-distance shot of the site from ExE. You would think that would be a feature they would want to show!

Have there been any shots of the solar panels and/or the electrolyser? or do we think they are bringing in the hydrogen from elsewhere?
