JCB have been smart to announce their hydrogen alliance over the weekend rather than during COP 26. They are getting plenty of coverage and those that wait to announce in business hours risk being swamped by many others!
JCB require their kit to be able to work for long hours without a break for refuelling or to be able to be refuelled very quickly. To do that with batteries isn't really practical (they would have to be huge).
The main reason they are going for hydrogen combustion engines is that they make their own engines and they don't want to have to write that investment off!

That doesn't mean they are the only supplier though!

Maybe more people realised that the SP significantly exceeds the NAV!
have they invested any of the £100M yet?
At one point these were around 18% up on NAV. I wonder what they will settle at when the initial excitement has waned.
"Why 3 weeks? Is this a temporary need or likely to be extended of it proves successful?"
Urban-Air Port Partnership are planning to demonstrate their concept to interested parties. They obviously don't have the funds to set a site up permanently but hope to show off their plans to generate interest with the hope of raising funding in the future.
It is the same idea as AFC's roadshow; just all in one place!
Whilst I'm pleased to have seen such a rapid rise I can't quite understand why it is happening so fast when the daily NAV reported has stayed pretty constant just under 98p!
Am I missing something?
On Linkedin
" I am dissapointed again that AFC did not use the chance to update the market a bit more"
That is obviously because they expect to be updating the market with a number of separate announcements over the next few months. Such an approach should have a greater long term impact.
They have no doubt noticed that many impatient investors start to fret if they don't get a boost every few weeks!
Garonne, you do realise that guff is generated by a bot and means nothing?
" I assume that includes my thoughts pertaining to AFC?"
You can, of course, think whatever you like but that doesn't mean you have to post your thoughts here endlessly. Before you post anything please try to think who might be interested in what you say or if anyone might benefit from it!
I try to restrict my posts to the times when I feel I may have something original to add about AFC; which is generally quite an infrequent occurrence.
This post is an exception to that rule!
