It is possible that a UK hydrogen strategy will be announced next week and some people have got wind of it......
"you'd think Europe and UK could at least make use of their coal by mining "
All the deep mines in the UK closed some time ago!
"What an incompetend news release"
It isn't incompetent at all! They have said what they need to; why would they want to say more?
" is from my frustration at having to read his repetitive BS"
and this from the guy who gives us 5 posts in 8 minutes that contribute nothing to any discussion about AFC!
Harbour Energy are just about to announce that the Tolmount gas field has started production!

For those interested in how AFC's investment in Hiiroc is fairing there is a bit of information in the presentation below at around 17 mins in. The HydrogenOne fund has invested £10M in Hiiroc.

"You'd think AFC would've done sufficient market research prior to manufacture to ensure there's demand before spending millions on R&D for products nobody wants! The Rolec EV charger is a prime example of this. Let's hope AFC have not made the same amateurish mistake with the latest iteration!"
There you go again with your baseless assumptions!
It appears obvious to me that AFC were establishing a relationship with a relatively small UK company (Rolec) when along came a large multinational (ABB) with interests in several relevant sectors. AFC didn't have the resources to develop products with both and so they focussed on the latter. When global markets are being targetted such a relationship takes time to reach fruition and, of course, AFC were also able to bring forwards the potential of the S series. This has delayed the availability of saleable products but has the great benefit that they are more cost-effective and practical.
So your determination to see everything negatively and to constantly find fault can be seen to be ridiculous when great strides are being made!

‘Fixation on electricity’ is short-circuiting Britain’s hydrogen power rollout
Britain is significantly behind its European rivals in rolling out hydrogen power because ministers and officials are “fixated” on electricity replacing fossil fuels, a leading businessman and Tory donor warned on Saturday.
Lord Bamford, the chairman of JCB, the construction machinery manufacturer, accused Grant Shapps, the Transport Secretary, of ignoring “alternatives to electric power” for vehicles and machinery, as he warned that batteries would be completely inadequate to fuel large vehicles spending six to eight-hour shifts on building sites and in fields.
The Conservative peer, who supported Boris Johnson's leadership bid, spoke out after the Department for Transport announced that half of all new cars would have to have “zero emissions” by 2028. But experts have warned that the increase in battery-operated cars would significantly outpace the provision of charging points, and the ability of the National Grid to cope with the rise in electricity required by the switch.

"Excellent quality dry gas confirmed, with greater than 96% methane, in all seven discovered gas reservoirs, without detrimental impurities such as H2S or CO2, supporting minimal gas processing required in the development."
You may be comparing live prices on one site with delayed ones on another.
On HL you can choose to see live prices but then if you are inactive for a while it reverts to delayed.
MichaelHenry: A price target is an analyst's projection of a security's future price, one at which an analyst believes a stock is fairly valued. Analysts consider numerous fundamental and technical factors to arrive at a price target.
I found that by Googling "broker target price"
Peel are the Nominated Adviser and Joint Broker.
Yes, they are paid for their services.
Original Equipment Manufacturer
"So this will charge one EV at a time?"
Yes, supermarket chargers are typically 7kW; these take several hours to do a full charge.
Much faster rapid chargers are becoming available but they require up to 150 kW; so that would need a stack of Power Towers!
"where is BB2?"
At the AGM
The price was 7p!
Thanks aandi; I get it now! I mistakenly thought you were implying that EQT are involved in the Hull plant
aandi: is that the right link you posted at 6:32?
It refers to a project in Hull not Deeside.
