Governments around the world are putting in massive resources to ensure most businesses survive what is a relatively short term issue hopefully. They want to minimise the long term impact i.e. economic depression. I still remain positive FGP will be able to survive and progress with disinvestment strategy albeit delayed! They can be forgiven this time to ensure maximum return for shareholders. There may however be some speculative bids for the whole group at a cheeky price e.g. Coast. Hope not and sooner SP gets revalued the better.

I am reasonably confident RTN can survive providing normality is resumed in second half but we will see. We will not have long to wait to see what happens on Monday but can see leisure and transport businesses doing well.

Maybe a glimmer of hope now as chancellor's latest move should benefit FGP. A similar move proposed by Trump may also support the US businesses. We will see how SP affected on Monday!

Very glad to hear chancellor's plan to pay staff retention costs. I take this as significant support for RTN and should go long way to restoring SP On Monday but we will see in current market!

Scooby you may well be right until price war ends anything possible. GKP not for me, too risky but can see the short term possibility, good luck with it.

Nice to see impact being quantified. No mention of requiring to take any government loans. Obviously will be reviewed ad thinhs debelop but appears relatively positive re future.

There is no doubt support costs for leisure/transport sector will be high but if they are allowed to go to the wall the government will incur high costs anyway in terms of unemployment pay lost tax revenues etc. It may also cause the UK to slip into a longer recession due to reduced consumption. We will still need transport after this crisis is over so what happens then if many go bust! Coast could launch a formal bid as they will get it cheap as chips then do what they wanted when market picks up, problem is many institutions will not wear it they will be looking for at least 90P plus otherwise they will lose a packet and will probably sit it out.

Ab no point in asking, obviously knows nothing about the company, a pure mischief maker with a sad agenda.

Hopefully the goverment will announce today significant support package for leisure sector to help them through this emergency situation. In 3/4 months we will still need trains, buses, restaurants, bars etc. Should the government for whatever reason fail to grasp this economic nettle the impact on economy will be even greater than necessary. This is a short term issue and stabilty and calm required by all. GLA.

The double whammy of coronavirus impacting demand and Saudia Arabia's proposed increase in supply is impacting oil prices. The question for the panel is do you think either the demand weakness or the supply increases are long term positions? Comments welcome from the panel!

Until details of government interventions are known the markets will make hay! Or at least the more unsavoury types, shorting should be banned in current circumstances. You could be right but would hope sanity prevails and leisure industry is not allowed to fail, as that would be a pointless exercise as this is a short term issue. A lot of jobs and future economic growth is at stake here.

The Norge bank was an interesting one but can you explain if they have actually sold down their holding as I am not clear! Also note that State Capital increased theirs a couple of days earlier. There is absolutely no doubt these are difficult trading times for all businesses in the leisure sector, with footfall down circa 25% in past week. I sincerely hope that there is sufficient interventions by government and banks to support this sector otherwise there will potentially a lot of hardship caused as a consequence of a short term issue! I remain positive rightly or wrongly solutions will be found to resolve the issue.

There is no doubt coronavirus will impact most businesses in some way, the question is how much, it will be awhile before thats fully understood. Completely agree the deliveroo comment below people will not stop eating! Also when the virus subsides, demand outstripping supply, may not repair all loss but could mitigate significantly in many businesses. I have more concerns re macro environment at the moment!

Fixturelist as yet you have come up with absolutely nothing to substantiate any claim you have made! When you do people may take account of your scaremongering. As for people trying to ramp you are way off mark. PMG may suffer if the price of oil remains the same in terms for not being able to progress Oil development business in North Sea in particular GPA. It would have write off and capitalised costs. This would leave PMG with £25m plus cash, land assets of £7m and Gas producing assets , plus potential renewables peofits in future years, I accept the gas assets may not produce much profit at low prices but they would be shut down at minimal loss. So can you educate us as to why you value PMG at a market capitalisation of at best £5M+ this is your 5P entry point. Go on prove you have some savvy I am always willing to listen to rationale arguments.

You are continually posting unsubstantiated statements. Fear drives the market unfortunately and at present this is in overdrive. Yes some restaurants maybe closed if situation gets serious in certain areas, but two months seems excessive in my view. Yes RTN profits will be impacted as will tranformation plans for coming year as they protect cash. On the plus side government and banks will provide support to affected businesses should it be necessary. In 3 months or so the worst of this will be over and businesses will be operating normally again if not before. The major challenges for the economy moving forward are oil prices, threat of recession and Brexit so nothing new then.

So they are selling US businesses not floating them off! An indication of time frame would be nice. We now know the plan lets hope it works!
