I was reading the statement re the above and they have appointed administrator for the pubs but only given notice of intention to appoint for chiquitos. The reason cited both businesses are expected to incur losses this year. For the pubs I would assume they will be sold off as a going concern and RTN will take a gain/ loss on sale amount unknown yet but would suspect loss. Re Chiquitos interesting if landlords reduced rent then maybe they could become profitable or maybe they just want to bite the bullet and address over capacity in this market and take subsequent hit we will see. If they have assessed all the groups businesses then thats a positive in that they expect profits this year or marginal! It will undoubtedly a bumpy ride in next month or so. GLA

There is no doubt that should oil and gas prices remain depressed for a significant period of time the point of continuing to invest in oil exploration in particular will be scaled back significantly. If that happens PMG could still be profitable from gas and Aupec alone anything coming from renewables would be a bonus. PMG has therefore the resilience to weather the current market conditions for several years so as we all know patience for those who wish to stay in is required! GLA

RTN have definitely been bold with this move, must have decided to go for a clean break rather than slow decline. Bit surprised by london pubs. Suspect lease discussions may not have gone well. Would not like to bet which way market will go tomorrow but longer term probably good.

Pyueck l am optimistic, rightly or wrongly, that FGP will overcome the challenges they face. Yes I have the same concerns you have and nobody really knows yet what the longer term issues will be yet. The sooner we get clarity re cash burn the better after we get that l maybe less optimistic!

RTN does face challenges and some of their transformational strategy maybe be delayed and altered in coming months but sure they will survive and prosper again. Effectively the company is mothballed for the duration but they should have sufficient cash to survive providing government support continues. When normality resumes cannot see why SP should not easily reach a pound plus but we will see. GLA

Certainly interesting buy maybe an RNS in next day or so Mr Snellar increasing his holding!

Agree its likely to be deferred until the world returns to normal and yes that may take 6 months that does not mean the process needs to stop as these things take time anyway. China returning to work, Italy seems to have passed worst, hopefully rest catching up and worst will be over in a couple of months. Agree nobody sure what happens next but I remain optimistic it will work out in next 6 months or so!

Agree firesale not welcome. The advisors have been appointed for selling of US assets who are looking at options. Not sure that there are many options, do Coast option and float as an IPO/placing or sell businesses separately or as a package to rivals or equity firm, maybe other permutations! What the value will be is key!

AA think you need to go to specsavers it was scooby that said it I think! Anyway the dim and distant past is done, thoughts on when oil price war may end and who will blink first welcome .

The sell off will happen, its just a question of when and for how much. Cash burn rate could be better as nothing for rail we will find out soon enough.

Would be good to get one. TST business model may shield them from more drastic implications but some reassurance would be good! GLA

A RNS to inform shareholders of virus implications could be helpful to support SP. Not sure impact on their products will be temporary or not, suspect the former but some reassurance would be good. Markets are driven by fear at the moment rather than what the reality will be on many companies. The sooner we know facts re impact the better ! As ever I remain positive about the future of this company GLA

I am sure the other institutional shareholders made their feelings clear some time ago, hence change in strategy re US businesses being sold. They will want maximum shareholder returns and maybe prepared to wait whilst the current circumstances resolve themselves. Coast on the other hand look like they see an opportunity to push their flotation idea again. I can see why they could get it cheap if the BoD rush a sale. We will see its speculation on my part. More info on how businesses will be impacted is needed certainty will stabalise the SP.

See they have increased their stake very interesting, more pressure for board!

They should be fine for cash as long as they sort out all the grants available in UK and in US levels of support quickly. More details will provide the support or otherwise for this share but do not think doomed yet!

I take a more optimistic view, in that it is likely to strengthen the EU rather than diminish it, as all nations face mounting challenges that cross borders so planning for events requires more cooperation e.g. climate change, but we will see!

Brexit likely to be delayed by the looks of it, we will see. The economic impact of Brexit especially a hard one, it is unlikely to be palatable now as it would be a double whammy for the UK economy. So you never know we maybe in the EU for longer than many anticipate! Certainly think oil prices will stabilise before Brexit done! Also hope results issued this week, will be interesting to see cash position and strategy updates re various business strands. GLA

Yes RNS was a bit vague hopefully we will get another with greater details on financial impact on US businesses sooner rather than later!
