Lets say you have a vaccine. Then you get really ill, some kind of flu / respiratory illness. I am sure you would still want your NHS to provide a Covid test, to rule that out. Even if you didn't, the doctors probably will want a test done. I just cant see the business case for the test being impacted that much. Also, when the queue forms for the vaccine, where will the Indians and the Africans be in that queue?

Yes 10% drop. Actually back to the floor of a channel from the beginning of November. Which when you think about it was only 9 days ago. So the SP rose up 10% and dropped 10% in 9 days. I didn't really expect the rise, and kept thinking it would pull back, but on the Biden victory win, really thought we would have a good day. Loaded up this morning, at near £19.00. I ended up selling them back, buying them back, then buying more and then buying more. Very poorly executed, and now kicking my self. If I had shown a bit more restraint, I could have got in much lower. I was very mindful to try to sell out of this rise, but also had no idea the disruption the vaccine news would cause. Last week I had an average of £17. i now have £1820, admittedly even more shares, but at the expense of other investments. I guess there is still tie for Trump to start a war?

I also think Budd had an announcement up to or on the day of the results, just from the wording of the RNS and the 'live' presentation. So maybe good news to come. He wouldn't have the gaul to do it live if it was really bad??
I didnt bother to post this before due to the usual lot on here, stifling the discussion. I still think GDR is second rate to NCYT, but I do think it will go up from 69p.

I actually bought more GDR today rather than NCYT. Because when I read the vaccine needs to be chilled to -80, i thought Africa/ India will not be able to roll this out. I think the GDR test may get a lot of use in the 3rd world, and lets face it, those guys are not going to be near the front of the queue for the vaccine. I dont see testing going anywhere for a few years. I did worry that we may see sub £1 after the results, and was not going to buy more before hand, but that worry is now gone.
The results will be bad, dont think he has sold much. But, the potential I think is still there.

Thankyou for the tip. I read ADVFN for some shares, but not looked for AAU as not a large holding of mine. I will take more notice of it, if there is a valuable poster there. Was already considering increasing my holding so will go back and read all the thread. Cheers.

Im sure most of you already know but il post anyway.. I saw on Sky news yesterday the article about testing in Liverpool, is using the test by Geneme, They interviewed the CEO. When they mentioned that other companies were involved, they showed something that had a logo on it, which I didn't recognise, but the logo was square, and had small red symbols in each corner?

Someone doesn't like these results or the RNS yesterday. The SP has dropped lower and lower since then. At 3.6 its as low as it was in July. Yesterday there was a large sell, which todays news doesn't seem to be able to mop up. Disappointing and also concerning.

Guessing you bought in early September and you are now back to break even. Not bad. Think i been in since March, but sold at a loss, bought back, did all sorts. made more money elsewhere since March. My lowest GDR strike was 84p I think. When I bought back I lowered my holding, i only have a grand in it twice on 2 accounts. That's all its worth to me. I turned 3k into 12k in NCYT. Thats why im not that bothered here.

I sold all of my Poly 2 weeks back, got out at 1750 average (couple of sells). It was a difficult thing to do, I knew it was for the best, but instantly started to miss them. Glad to say I got them back now, and more at an average of 1700. Not a huge adjustment, but ill take it. Lowest buy was in profit today, so I have some walking around money now.

Thought about topping up, as my average is 115. But id rather buy after news. I admire the conviction and faith of a few people here, but your actions are contrary to most investing advice, e.g chasing a falling share price, one which will only rise, if there is a magic RNS with the right news in it. I just feel very wary of putting more money in here, as personally I don't have the level of faith others do. Cant even say I am happy to be invested here, but it is what it is now. All or nothing now. Not going to sell out until we know either way, but on those terms not risking any more here, which currently is about 5% of my portfolio (money i don't want to lose, but can afford to). Without wishing to start an argument, yesterday and today there were far better places to put your money. I made great gains elsewhere today I'm sure you can guess where. My main point, is no one needs to be fully loaded before an RNs lands, if the companies so great, investing as the SP rises will do just as well, and there will be the inevitable pull back(s). No one should be investing to get rich of one trade / investment.

Sounds great but maybe NCYT not established enough (regarding the test) to use revenue? To be honest, it will be hard to put a value on this company, as it has so much potential, but not much history.

To clarify, the offer for outstanding shares was a little over the last 3 months average. Not great, but ok. HGM was paying dividends.

At highland gold they used the average SP over the last 3 months, which explained why it been suppressed for ages. They also did it in a way where no vote was needed because there was already a very large holder, who sold / transferred his shares, so the buyer had over 50%, therefore no shareholder vote required. Rock rose energy seemed very generous, but I don't remember the details - felt like id won the lottery as only bought in the week before.
