RE: Over £2m of late sells traded12 Nov 2020 21:09
This site implements its own algorithm to determine buys or sells. It uses the current Bid / Ask. But at 4.35 the bid /ask updates for the last time on the uncrossing trade. Then anything reported after that is determined a buy or sell depending on which it is closer to. This makes it quite difficult to work out if they were buys or sells, and in choppy price action late reported trades are very hard to work out, like the one reported late but for 15:53. That was probably a buy but now reported as a sell. (price was 8.80 to 8.67 as best as I can tell for free)
12-Nov-20 15:53:28 870.20 7,049 Sell* 875.00 899.00 61.34k O
12-Nov-20 16:35:19 880.00 379 Sell* 875.00 899.00 3,335 UT
This trick is especially employed in AIM stocks like GDR, where it is almost impossible to see which way the major buying / selling is actually moving.
