@Pmoran - Test and repeat works and works for the latest integrations. Warehouse and platform good for another £1billin of revenue (board said so back in Sep-20) ‘ doesn’t take into account volumes.

Actually if you think this is baked in upside as if they say £1billion revenue on a lower average unit cost item (boo and PLT our cheapest) then the £ revenue just grows. The items are largely the same ie jumper is a jumper so volume is ok. £1bill / average item cost is fine for a while but we also now have a new warehouse on the way which wasn't said in Sep - so plenty headroom here

We integrate the lot and the back end. As we don't take anything from the businesses we acquire there is nothing to weave in. We just SCALE what we have already

@people you're right - next and THG won't be appealing for brands in the future as you're under too much of their control ie if HUT do everything and you don't have your own data or know how if they put the price up 10% YOY you're screwed

Boo don't shout about their platform as we aren't trying to sell it. Next and THG are actively pursuing this as revenue lines (we will be when debs is ours)

But imagine you're hotel choc you're now at the mercy of THG. brands will want out of it in a few years but won't be able to that why the analysts are saying the integrity platform is worth £1bill on it's own as its sticky AF. Next model sits in the middle

Boo's model looks best for us and the supplier as long term we want to be all own brand so we can cut them out of the platform and they would be happy to go if things change

Asos had a huge profit warning due to it's systems and platform being behind and needing upgrades

Again highlights why it's dangerous to read what rag says as he doesn't found his views on any facts. Just makes them up. Apparently we are "behind" well our platform can handle another £1billion of revenue - never mind what the marketplace can bring

@webba and that's always been noted. I said this is part of the GM side it it doesn't impact the scalable part of the business. The point the other day was that rag thinks this has to be a "herculean" task. The reality is it doesn't as if it's currently too much to start to get up (what are frankly) small brands we can just partner in other retailers to fill the gap while we take our time getting things right

We can use the scalable nature of the marketplace to allow us to start getting customers in, growing traffic, fill the shop window and win market share all without hardly spending a penny. Behind the scenes we can be working on matarey.

The point was always that we now don't need to rush and take the risks until we are ready - rushing was what MK said caused the ESG issue. So lets not rush the "herculean" task. take our time and get it right - I don't want to go back to £2.20! ha

No there are no teams to be taken on tupe - tupe only applies if there is a contract for service (I think - broadly that)

@mudis so what you're describing there is what our marketplace will be. If they and boo agree. you put your stock on our website. Customer orders you deliver and boo get x% for doing nothing (once again it's revenue that scales and scales without cost) - in a market say Botswana we could literally make money just running a website and taking a small butty off every sale - people value things that scale. Asos would order loadssss of stock (might not sell - risk, make the warehouse bigger for all this stuff - cost) boo don't do anything - which is more scalable?

Wholesale in the sense that we make 10,000 t shirts and sell to retail store in china is not the way to go (no data, no test and repeat, no way to keep control of brand, no customer engagement etc) but i don't think you meant this?
