NW92. If vod was not going ex divi next thursday I would say 80's more likely, but about 4p will come out of the sp on ex divi, so it could dip.. If you buy now though you will get the divi. I think you should buy now, 75p after going ex divi would be good. Looks like poor porsche's shorts have back fired again. I think he needs a service.

Cureboy. The problem with being skeptical is it hides the truth. The vod sp has gone up since the buy back, but buying back does not mean the sp will rise. You are being conned by some on here, not the vod management. Buying back shares is only good if profits rise. Please stop manipulating the truth. Vod have to pay to buy back shares, which will come out of the maket cap. Of course the sp is not being kept low. Please stop this fake nonsense.

Newbie. Sorry mate, but I was always lead to believe they would be held in treasury. So it would seem you are all missing something here. Stop being so cynical & you might understand. Nobody is being duped. Vod buy back the shares & hold them in treasury. That is how the buy back works. Less shares left in circulation.

Newtotrp. The shareholders didn't vote for the buybacks, & who says they are not going to cancel them? Where do you get your miss information from? Are you new to all this?

Although having an exit price may seem very wise, if the sp hits your exit price, but looks like it will keep going up, why sell? If vod hits an sp of 1.32, it may be because it is making good profits & can raise the divi. & the sp will keep going up. Buy/sell decisions should be made on a day to day ,week to week basis I think. It is not an easy decision though. I think vod is worth 1.50 + so I wont sell below that? But who knows?
