Rob. I think the new C.E.O. can improve the share price, but it is not by buying millions of vod shares with her own money, it is by running vod well, not by hyping the sp. Garonne has been invested in vod for 1 year, so has a lot to learn. Deutsche Bank predicted £2.50 plus many years ago as I did , but we both got it wrong. Deutsche bank are the house broker for vod, so will always hype, but they may be right of course, let's hope so.

Garonne. I am very possitive & always have been about vodafone. I just don't live in a fantasy world. For the last 20 years or so Deutsche Bank have been wildly exagerating vod's sp forecast as they are the house broker for vodafone. As for Luka I hope he is right, & I support the C.E.O. of vod as well. I just just don't think it is her job to hype the vod share price. Being a realist is not being negative, something you need to learn. Good luck though because at the moment we are both on the same side. I just hope you don't start moaning about Marge again, she needs our support. Have a good week mate.

Garonne you are clearly impressed by anyone who talks up the vod share price. Deutsche bank are the house broker for vod, & would be very possitive whatever. It is not Marguerita's job to ramp the share price with her own money. She can of course ramp the share price in the form of buy backs with shareholders money. That is her job. I believe she already has a very large holdind of vod shares anyway. Let her do her job by running the company the best way she can in the very risky mob phone market.

A bit of a late reply from me, but shares held in treasury do not get a divi, so that means more cash left to pay a divi to the remaining shareholders, so that would be good for the share price. Buy backs held in treasury help earning per share ratio for the remaining outstanding shares. Less outstanding shares means more earnings per share. Earnings divided by outstanding shares. Sorry if I talk in plain English instead of stuff that many pretend to understand, but clearly don't! I.E. E.P.S. E.B.I.T.A. ETC, ETC. Happy Monday.

L.T.I. If vods net assets are 60 billion euro's, why is the market cap much lower? That is the 60 billion euro question?

We all know that vod is way undervalued, but the question is why? But you can't ignore the market cap or the share price. The problem with assets, is they can fall in value very fast. Buy if you feel lucky, vod is worth at least £1 -£1.50 per share in my oppinion, but if the market thinks otherwise, then you could be in trouble. I assume unlucky investor is buying a shed load at this bargain price??, or is he just always unlucky ?? A bargain. A strong buy.

After going negative. Can we go up on Friday?

narcus. i will repeat. if the number of outstanding shares remains the same, the market cap will increase by the same as the sp. 1.42 per cent today.. forget *** packets, we all know the p/c computor police on here are stupid. try saying the football team ****nal or a ****tail drink. market cap is the sp times the outstanding shares according to most sources. just look it up please. obviously the market cap is at a given time. sp times outstanding shares.
