You said on your 14.50 post "Why keep any shares for the share schemes? they already have plenty in treasury" If they already have plenty in treasury they wont need to keep any for share schemes, so they can cancel them, or at least most of them. All this is just the usual have a pop at the rich ,greedy B.O.D. knee jerk reaction. You of course at least think before you negative post. Of course they need to build the business, but how? Not easy in the very competitive market at the moment.

The proposed buy back has nothing to do with share save/employee/management incentive schemes. These schemes would already have been in place, so the main purpose is to reduce the shares in circulation. Each share holder will own a larger slice of the company, but vod still have to pay for the buy back, so it may be a good move or not, only time will tell, but I think a good move. Buy backs for cancelation are good if the sp rises from the buy back price, but bad if lt falls,(common sense). So it is back to the old crystall ball.

Hi rob, Not good today, but I think we expected a possible retrace. It maybe that it is only the buybacks that are propping up the price at the moment but lets hope there is more good news to come. I think 80p is a fair price in the short term, but £1 + given time.

I don't know if you can transfer £1 million, but If you can,at 0.25% that is a saving of £2.500 a year. Unless I got my maths wrong? Worth having a look.

They charge 9.99. per deal flat rate, no custodial charges for a normal dealing account or for an I.S.A...If you give them a phone call they will help you transfer to them. I have saved a lot of money over the years as a long term holder, mainy from the free I.S.A.
