I'm waiting for money coming to me this month & want to buy some more vod shares, but find myself thinking partly like you & wanting the sp to fall so I can buy at a lower price, but of course that's not what I really want, as the amount I'm going to buy is far less than the amount I already hold. What a dilemma!!?? & yes I will buy them in an I S A. As for wanting 180, then playing darts yes, but playing the vod sp, a big no from me!!

I think the reason the sp is holding up at above offer price is not so much people buying, Its more a case of why sell if you think the shares are worth the current price. Of course if have 50k worth,& you could sell at 1.42 & buy them back at 1.36 then you would, but you cant. The ipo has to be at a discount to there real share value to make sure all the shares are bought. I applied for 2k worth in the last ipo & got about £700 worth which I sold at a small profit, & if I can find the dosh I may apply in this ipo.

Gerry where did you get those prices. according to vodafone historical share prices for 18/4/17, the open was 204.30, the high 204.60, the low 199.70. & the close 199.70.

Thanks Gerry, I think it makes sense to have your isa's in 2 accounts, (1 each) . I'm with I G. they have no annual fees, apart from about £8 to buy or sell.

I'd like to thank Dewsbury! Its partly due to his crazy rantings that made me realise that concha shares were for suckers & I bailed out before I lost too much money.

Thanks again Gerry, So what's the chance of them abandoning tax above 5k, as it was a year or so ago?? I,m in the position where I don't know whether to move vod holdings in to isa's, (not cheap). I think with vod, (high divi) cap gains is probably not a problem (hope i'm wrong). so its just this nasty divi tax!!!
