Sorry Mike but I your think misunderstanding me, All im saying is that before an investor (not you) bed & isa shares, they should take into account all the costs involved. Stamp duty to repurchase is the main one, but now also there is a possible 1 off fee (as you point out ). I agree if you already have all your shares in 2 isas , then leave them there.

I think your mixing me & Gerry up, I want & think the sp will rise to £2.20, but I think Gerry,s opinion is the opposite. I have to admit though things dont look good, today looks very bad, your bet is looking good, so lets just hope for the best.

Ok my mistake, by tax I meant probate fees. If 600k in a joint account, & one person dies then no probate fees, the survivor would have free access to the funds without involving probate, but if 300k in 2 accounts, 1 each, then 300k would be subject to probate. ' Death tax' is just the name given to the increase in probate fees, in the daily mail article.

If you google new death tax it refers to a new probate tax increase. If a married couple own shares in a joint account & 1 dies, then if will all pass to the survivor without any tax, the same as there house would. However if the shares are split in to 2 seperate isa's then probate would apply to 1/2 of the funds. This is what the article in the mail refer'd to.

Gerry I know your a big fan of isa's, a possible new drawback is if you have more than 50k in an isa & you die, your wife has to pay to get your money, but if you have 50k outside an an isa in a joint account she pays nothing. I read an article in the mail about a couple who have 300k each in isa's, but are thinking of moving the funds out & putting them in a joint account to save money. Most of my investments are outside an isa, & I was thinking of moving some in to isa's but this further complicates matters. The trouble with the bed & isa is the costs & who knows what the government will come up with next as regards screwing the humble share investor??!!

So apart from off market trading, Me & most ordinary investors are buying shares from sets, So are you saying that the big movements in sp are caused by after hours trading??? Are you sure sets dosn't match buyers & sellers?? If so what is sets, I think sets is an automated way for matching buyers & sellers within normal trading ???!!! I would never trade off market, the spreads are crazy. Your suggestion that m m s can cherry pick concerns me. Although I'm sure some manipulation goes on, I'm sure with ftsi 100 company's sets is not rigged, so unless you trade off market, I don't get you point??? Last week the vod sp fell every day ,but most days the opening sp was up, but then fell, this suggests to me that anybody buying off market before the open would have lost money,& the winners buying in normal hours when the sp was lower' from sets!! Can we stop blaming mm's, they, like bookmakers just take a profit for doing a job!!

What causes the vod sp to fall, is it the buyers are putting in orders below the current sp & the sellers are prepared to take the lower price pushing the sp down?? As you say its not down the wicked m m 's, even on aim, the m m,s are not that bad, I think some people just need to blame somebody. Last weeks falls were frustrating, what do you think caused them??

Dewsbury, I don't think codeine is strong enough to ease the pain of a plummiting concha share price. Have you tried L.S.D, I'm sure if your high on that, the concha sp could easily hit £2 or more.

I've heard, that a concha share certificate autographed by the profit dewsbury is up for sale for a very large price. In fact rumour has it, its worth more than the real value of the whole of concha.

Excluding divi's, so i guess that gives charr a bit of an edge, but I still think they will hit £2.20.

The big question is, at what price will the great profit dews admit defeat & fall on his sword???

You sound to me like a very bitter, synical shareholder, who cant make up there mind, I wish you would just say what you mean, I think vod is a good investment & the share price will do well, why do keep going on about aston villa & your disapointing christmas presents.
