Bad finish today, but ironically you are sounding far more positive. May the force be with you, after all vod is up on the week,& about 10p up on the recent intraday low. I think if you hold 50, 000 vod shares, that's 5k up on the week. If you take it 1 week at a time who knows. The fact is I need to get the sp back to £2 plus to be a happy bunny, so I wish I was in your position of only needing about 1.65. We all know (I think!) that vod is worth more than 1.65. My last buy was at 1.96 & have buys between £2 & 2.30, so I wish I had waited for the 1.65. If the sp goes above £2, I will still be losing on this year, but you will be quids in so when this happens please don't gloat. Don't spread bet though. Mugs game. Just hold.

Crikey Tombo, It would appear that some just don't like your polite diplomatic style,(more fool them). I do however think that you should not have filtered Mrd, just stand your ground, otherwise he will just think he has beaten you.Of course, if he doesn't like what we say, he can filter us, but then he would worry about what we might say behind his back? Mrd is correct when he says USA trades slightly higher, but I don't know why, could it be they don't pay stamp duty on purchases? Any thoughts on that?

4.6% up on nasdaq is partly due to a change in dollar to £ exch rate. If the $ falls the nasdaq price will rise.

Well I think It was a great day, but there is no pleasing some. Reminds me of Allo Allo, & good moaning. Or the monty python sketch where you pay for an argument. But being told off for being too polite is pushing it a bit. But don't forget stiff upper lip because we are proud to be British, Rule Britannia & all that. As for Germans, well the ones I've met have been very polite, but of course they have a different sense of Humour as do the French of course, but I think most, if not all on this forum are British, but of course I don't know, & frankly don't care.

Great day so far, not only as I've recovered some of my losses, but Mrd is happy, & (as long as he is not shorting vod),if Mrd is happy, then I'm happy. As for rudeness & insults on this forum, this is like a vicar's tea party compared to a forum I used to post on called crypto compare. Sorry if I appear uncaring,but I think Mrd is on the wrong chat line. I was 100k down this year on vod a week ago, but I can afford to hold. The worst thing to do is chase your losses by spread/cfd betting. Of course I feel sorry for mrd, but he has to stop trying to cut his losses by gambling on the djia. or whatever.

Sell at break even for you makes sense I guess, so I think 1.65 before Christmas, 1.65 would do me, but I wont sell. So are you going to stick to that, or go back into your paranoid buy/sell sell/buy mode.

Mrd, With your luck, if you sell, the sp is sure to shoot up, so please sell. If only Mrsd new eh, no Christmas presents, not good. Perhaps you bought a turkey, should have waited until Christmas when they are cheaper.
