I don't think another broker upgrade will help much, but I think a Moody's upgrade would be fantastic for confidence. I don't know what % vod pays on it's deb't, but I think this is the crucial factor here.

Nothing wrong with the daily mail article, just stating facts, so calm down Mr Mainwaring, & stop over reacting. stupid boy!!! The article was mainly very positive, but of course mentioned the obvious fact that the vod sp has tanked lately!. & obvious concerns of debt' Don't ague with the past, just be positive about the future, which is why I give vod a strong buy!! Don't buy just for the divi is the message we should be getting here. Buy vod because a very good company with a great future.

When I read this post this morning on this forum I was very worried & quickly had a look at the said article in the mail only to realise I had already read it yesterday on google, but when I read it yesterday I realised there was nothing new in it, so just old news, not good perhaps, but not new, & a lot of it was quite positive I think.

At 8.13 you said of voda shares, A shorter can't lose, so why did you buy voda at 11.46 & not short them. You just couldn't make it up. Why don't you just accept it Mrd, you have completely lost the plot?

Mrd buys 40k worth at 1.47, but wants the sp to fall to 1.42. If that is his strategy, no wonder he is losing a fortune, & the plot.

Yes I agree, I think we need the liberty deal. If it is blocked, then I imagine we would still have paid something, so perhaps if we hadn't bid in 1st place that may have been better, or maybe not, but in think it,s now past the point of no return, out of choice.

Not that agree with lse2000, but you have to take into account the change of exchange rate $ to £ in the last week.

Your post at 16.21 re vod purchase of liberty sounds a bit far fetched to me, surely against the rules of market manipulation?
