Hi, Hope you don't mind me asking, but do you re invest your divi as soon as you get it i.e. just after divi payment day. I just wondered, if the sp is let's say 1.70 when you re invest, do you really want the sp to fall to 1.50 afterwards. This is the thing I can't get my head around I'm afraid. I think the important point is when the vod sp falls as it did up to a few weeks ago, is it a false market, or is there something going wrong with the company? It would appear that in this case the market got it wrong, but did we really know that. What if vod had drastically reduced the divi. It was unlikely perhaps, but possible I think. As for 2nd guessing the market, as my post yesterday made clear, I think it is very difficult, so forget it. But good luck with your compounding.

Hi Gerry, long time, no speak. I just wondered if you have topped up at the recent bargain prices for vod shares. I wish I had, but I can only afford to hold at the moment. As for wanting sp to fall back to 1.50, no thanks because you never know when you might need to sell in an emergency. Besides if the sp did fall back to 1.50, that might cause the divi to be cut, perhaps? Good luck with your compounding though, I think we all understand what it means, but some would rather, or need to take the divi as income. I guess you want the sp to fall by divi payment day, so you can re invest it at a lower price perhaps? Flawed logic in my opinion, but I can see some kind of logic in it I guess.

I read that vodafone idea has fallen in value quite a lot last few days, but it doesn't seem to effect the vod sp. Is vod idea too small to matter? Any thoughts on this please?

Strange post from you, as I said I'm £35,000 up over the last few weeks & am very happy with the very good recent rises as all my posts have indicated, so why would I be bitter? I only hold vod shares, so I don't have any stops, just real shares which I intend to hold. I can only assume you don't read my posts properly, but that's your problem, not mine.

Maverick. I think 5g is a big gamble as the costs are massive, but the rewards could be far more, I think It is a good gamble, but of course I, nor anybody else on this forum is an expert, so lets just hope it pays off. Just live up to your name, buy & go for the win. If you wan't a more accurate answer, just search google,vodafone 5g, etc.etc. All you will get on here is an opinion, or an opinion & a load of waffle. I give you just an opinion.

I have just looked back at the last 4 weeks of posts & apart from me & Tom only 1 post from sgee actually named the person he was talking too. No wonder there is so much misunderstanding & confusion. If you want to make a point to everybody then fine, but if you want to make a specific point to somebody then at least have the common sense to state there name.

Many misunderstandings on this forum come from posts that have a subject, but don't state who the post is aimed at. Sometimes people get offended by a post that is aimed at somebody else for this reason. i.e. re.re.re. whatever. who are you talking to? Why is it not allowed to state the person you are are talking to. Does it make you a troll?? This is all nonsense, just say what you want to say, & put the person you want to say it to, in the subject. Someone got my post taken off because I did just that. If you can't say it to someone face to face then you are surely a coward?

Buy back now, before it,s too late, £2 here we go. By the way, much as I criticised Last Call, I wish I had sold at £2 ish as he suggested, then I could have bought back at 1.40 ish. I had plenty of reason to disagree with your post, I support our country's political system & you don't. To accuse them of starting wars is extreme, & to have my post removed for saying that is crazy, in my opinion. But I can assure I haven't lost it, I just try to see everybody's point of view, even your's perhaps??!! Difficult though. The fact is, any idiot can just bang on about so called corrupt politicians,because they are just easy targets.

Thank you for my mention in your post, I'm just fed up with all this brexit talk on here. The remainers say liar liar to the brexiteers & vice versa, like 2 school kids in the playground. I gather you read my post to H-hi before it went !? I think we have many good politicians & a good political system, compared to Greece for instance,& many other countries. So can you please all stop constantly moaning about our politicians.
