Hi. C.S.D.I. Sorry If I am treating you as a vod forum buddy, But some on here seem to think I am a bully. Ok so, I have tried to bully you many times, but do you listen, or care? I just hope you don't accuse me of being drunk, which I was accused of by one unhappy poster, simply because I posted at 1.20 am. He also had a pop at me because I said that some of my positive posts were based on wishful thinking. I wish & think the sp will go up!!?? Sorry for that, but I am miss understood & you are the only one who can help me!!!??? You just have to laugh. Anyway, sorry about all your other shares doing badly, (Loser)! Hi. C.S.D.I. Are you tempted to try The Patient's Strategy? I suppose looking back at the graph today it might have worked, but I guess I resent paying all that stamp duty, so would wait for larger movements than just a penny or so. I think spread betting would be more cost affective, but you would have to be glued to the screen all day, to get in & out at the right time. I don't know how Patient does it, without falling off his ladder?! Good luck though patient,let us know because we are dying to know how you are doing, I suppose though you should concentrate on your building work. Vod just beat the FTSE today, so better than nothing. Good Luck everybody.

Cheers robleo, I think it is fair to say that I am about as chilled out as anyone can get about the demise of the vod sp. Sorry but I don't quite get your point, but yes, world war 3, I can do without, (slightly over dramatic from you I think) You need to take your own advice, & chill out I think? I do think sometimes you lack a sense of humour? But I am glad you like us all !! I am trying very hard to like you back !!?? I might have to work a bit more on that one though??

Hi, C.S.D.I. I hope you don't mind me picking you up on your last post about all eggs in one basket Mikey! Are you confusing Mikey with me. I am the one with all my vod eggs in one basket, not Mikey. Mikey obviously has vod shares (assuming he really does work for vod?) in the form of share options & others that he tells me he has. So I think that he is wise to hold those. But also, Mikey has claimed to have bought other shares as well. Of course everybody on here thinks I am crazy to have all my money invested in vod, but I can take it??!! I am retired though, & have more money in my pension than is invested in vod. I am a gambler, & the golden rules of gambling are. A. Don't bet/ invest more than you can afford to lose. & B If you do lose, don't moan about it. Come on C.S.D.I. We all know you are aching to buy back into vod. When though, to morrow, or not to morrow, THAT is the question??

robleo. Thank you for your post. Of course I am cheesed of with the vod sp lately, & some on here have had a pop at me . Of course I am not the most tact full, or p.c. poster on here , & I don't suffer fools gladly. But to suggest that I am a bully, or a know it all, is way of the mark, & to suggest that I am taking it out on Mikey is ludicrous. I know nothing( as Manuel would say) I even got slated by narcus for saying my posts for the vod sp are based on wishful thinking, & then he accused me of thinking I am cleverer than everybody else. You can't win with some. But come on, if you go through life being negative all the time, you may as well just give up. I suspect however,I am preaching to the converted, so thanks for your very tact full comments. I've had my 1st jab, so I am very positive. I was supposed to be going skiing in a couple of weeks time, but now can't, so come on, I need a lot of sympathy. It's just not fair? moan, moan,moan. But life goes on ??!!

Stanno. You make an interesting point by saying a 10% year on year growth is acceptable. I would say it is more than acceptable, it is very good, & far better than most investors make, a point that seems to be missed, or just ignored by many. Of course we all can pretend otherwise. As for your last point, there are plenty of vocal losers on this forum, of course vod has performed very badly over the years, but it's the future that counts so lets hope for a 10% + return from now on. o.k. So I need much more than 10% to break even, but I live in hope. Good luck.

tinlid. Sorry mate, but it is blindingly obvious to anyone who has read Mikey's posts that he is not shorting. If he was, then good for him, but Mikey obviously feels that whatever he says, the opposite will happen, hence his obsessive negative posting. Good luck to you, but what do you mean when you say "not everybody who buys shares, wants the price to go up"? Sounds A bit confusing that statement??

wadz. Ask moaning Mikey our resident expert, or you could try negative narcus. Obviously don't ask me because I don't know, but just think!!! You could try mole_ man. (I think)??!! The answer of course is, we don't really know at the moment, so could be wait & see. Good luck, but if you do buy/top up, & the sp falls, don't moan about it.

Narcus. Anybody who invests in a company that they constantly predict will fall in value is clearly not all there, & neither are you by the sounds of it. I don't know what the vod sp will do, but as a long term investor I think it will rise. Why would any sane person constantly predict the fall, & still stay invested. By wish full thinking, I am saying that I don't know for sure, & obviously I wish the sp to rise, as any sane vod investor would. Perhaps all this is a beyond you, so sorry about that. The sp is above 1.20 by the way, so he got it wrong yet again, so I don't know what part of that you don't get??

Patient, Hi. There is plenty of evidence that put a slur on the integrity of hedge funds, just look on social media, along with covid denial, etc.etc. Hedge funds are never going to be liked by real investors.

PFen. If you seriously think you can compare Gamestop to Vodafone, then you have not got a clue about the stock market. And of course the ftse is influenced by the U.S. Why shouldn't it be?

What happened to his sub 1.20 prediction for today then, At least my wild predictions are driven by wishful thinking, as I own a lot of vod shares. What drives his predictions? Whatever it is, he needs help, & fast. We may fall again today, but lets hope not?

ftseexplorer. Some on here just have to find something to moan about, & the b.o.d. are an easy target. Lets just call it, doing a Mikey!! Your post sounds positive, so I hope you are right? I don't know, but nor do the scam mongers. I think we need the 20bn though? Lets face it, the b.o.d have a very tricky job on there hands, & turning things around is no easy task.

mole_man. Surely the drop on ex divi day is completely different than a convertible bond. The bond will be gradually priced in, so there will be no sudden drop. The ex divi drop has to be sudden, otherwise we could all buy just before ex divi, & sell afterwards, with a big profit. That would be crazy.

Djones Thank's , & sorry to have a pop, but my pain is yours x 10. Then with all the moaning, that just makes it 10 x worse again. I need it to get to about 2.10 to break even. Please just be positive, there is enough moaning on here already, by you know who, to sink a battleship.

Ossingh. I am glad you feel Djones's pain, So do do we all, He is a pain in the arse, with all his moaning. Some on here are losing far more than a mere 13k. Don't invest what you cant afford to lose, but if you do, then don't moan about it. Simple!. Good luck to you though.
