Robina.. The obvious answer is that vodafone is under priced by 35% & ATT is overpriced by 500%.Not that I am saying that of course, as I haven't been following ATT. but as they say, past performance is not an accurate guide too future performance, If it was, then we could all be very rich.

Patient.I don't think vod shares actually trade on the nasdaq. They are American Depository Units, which are 1 for each 10 vod shares, & don't think they tightly follow the L.S.E. sp. in candle stick fashion. & there are of course constant exch rate fluctuations. Also as the song goes, All nice (English girls) love a candle, especially a bouncing one. Perhaps the Yanks aren't so keen. Anyway I told you to sell at 1.33, but do you listen?? Hope C.S.D.I. has got his divi's, or there will be hell to pay.

CSDI. I got my divi into my bank acc. this morning & managed to buy just at the right time at 1.31 ish So at the moment my timing is very lucky. No skill at all . I wonder it patient got in at 1.31 as well. But if so, he probable will sell, so I just hope he doesn't get his evil way, & the sp plummets. Sorry you are having prob's though, but I am sure whatever happens you will never be a contender for moaner of the Month! Not the same league!

Ok I get the maths. If I bought 1000 vod shares at £1 & sold the lot at £1.10. Then bought 100 shares at £1, my average would be zero. If I bought 10000 & then re bought 1000 my average would be zero. So you probably end up with a lot less shares than you started of with, which was my original point. When I talk about lowering my average, I mean I am keeping the same amount of shares, but lowering my average price,which I think is what most mean when they talk about there average price. But thanks for pointing that out. However Its better than losing & I think patient is better off as a property tycoon anyway. But he seems to be doing very well generally whatever he does. Probable better than me, or you perhaps.

Patient.If you have a breakeven price of 72.21. you can only have a few hundred shares surely?? I think you & others are confusing spread, & peak to though, spread is the diff between buy a sell at any one time, You are, I think talking about the high to low fluctuation, completely different. CSDI. And there is me thinking you had more willpower to resist Mikey's ludicrous posts than me. Well I feel a bit better now, & anyway he has a bit of competition from d. jones lately? We can just ignore him, or just take the Mikey out of him. With most sane people, you can just ignore, & they go away, but Mikey is like the monkey in the zoo, who will just keep going. So I chose to use him as a sense of amusement as I would with the monkey.

CSDI. Hi, Although I think spread betting is better than day trading, as a former bookmaker, the odds are massively against you winning. As for mms & stop loses, I don't think small fry like me & you are going to influence anything with our stop losses. It's just that old chestnut again, blame the m.m.s. because you have got to blame somebody. Good luck, & according to mole,who says he does alright, "If I can do it, then so can anybody" so what are you doing wrong then?
