C.S.D.I. What do you think of SIPPs? I didn't like the look of them, & just invested any tax free pension cash directly in shares. My biggest winner was opting out of serps, & investing in a personal pension which did very well. I opted back into serps again, when advised to do so & still got a good state pension on top. Welcome back C.S.D.I. We new you couldn't stay away from the allure of vod! Technically though, owning a paltry 1500 vod shares doesn't entitle you to vod Amigo status, but as It's you ,we will make an exception. I thought vod however, was a high yield stock, but what do I know. I think the week end vod sp may be higher than I said, perhaps 1.46. When are the results? Should be some big movement then. Which way? We can only hope it's up. Good luck.

S.I.D.I. Vodafone pays it's divi from a combination of profits, free cash flow, & borrowing. If vod didn't pay a divi, it could pay off more deb't, or it could invest more. It's all just a juggling act. To gear, or not to gear, that is the question. It is all very complex, but If vod can make more money on it's debt's than the % it pays on them, then that is good, but if the reverse, then it's bad, but there is the if?

annalisa. Thank you for the very kind offer of a loan, but as you suggested, the overtime I get with my job at Aldi's is very good, so hopefully I will be able to top up on my meagre 1000 vod shares very soon.

s.i.d.i. Thank for your honest post which I respect. I said what I thought, to which Annalisa replied in a rather strange incoherent way! As for the 4 amigo's , down to 3 now a guess. Unless the other 2 have abandoned me as well? Of course it's about making money, as annalisa said, greed is good? Perhaps a bit of humility & a banter sense of humour would help though as well?
