Rob. It would appear that if you do a sipp the divi gets re-invested at the end of the month. Simple answer is don't do a sipp, but re-invest the divi yourself. By the way rob, just as well you did not take my advice & transfer to jarvis as they have stopped trading & they have transferred my shares to i.i. who don't seem very good, so I will transfer my shares to another provider. Maybe H.L. but maybe someone cheaper. Have a good week mate.

Hello Roofer. I was with this site London South East. (Jarvis) but they stopped trading & they transferred 2 I.S.A.'s & a trading account to interactive investor & so far I have found there service very bad. Jarvis charged me nothing apart from 9.95 dealing costs, & I don't deal very often, but i.i. will charge me about £100 a year for 3 accounts so I might transfer to i.web. Are they free, & are they good? Thanks Roofer.

Colbee. I can't see there being a divi increase, but If there is I will have to pay tax on it. I would prefer an increase in the sp. 90p will do me soon. Goldman sachs were buying back at higher than there prediction, ( strange). We all know the sp can go up or down, Who knows? Greed is good, ?? Or bad?? as long as you can lose with a smile on your face. A £1 Christmas would be great.

Savage. May I suggest that you read up about tech analysis like price gaps as I have done rather than blindingly criticising.

Curtin. Thank for your response because I am always willing to learn, so I looked up price gaps on google & got this explanation. Price gaps are created due to a variety of factors that can cause a stocks price to move dramatically. When this happens the chart shows an empty area when no trading occurred forming a gap. I am not aware of any dramatic movement in the vod share price or a gap forming around the time you stated. Filling price gaps is very complex, so I think best left to those who fully understand it, not me, & with respect not you, because it just causes confusion. Have a good day.

After a bad start, a slight recovery pm today . Vod is trading up over 20% from recent lows, more with the divi. Anybody who sold on the last pre ex divi day would be well out of pocket. Vod is a share for positive investors, not negative investors. But it is Snakes & ladders, get used to it, because that is how the stock market works.

Instead of moaning Mikey, now we have groaning Garonne.

I haven't looked at the vod sp for the last week until today, so I am very pleased with the 3p rise. I will go 88p for next Friday please Roofer.
