why does consolidation mean its harder to get hold of, its exactly the same
less shares but each shares are worth more - its the same execution for a trade on the book

i think for shareholders its decent these were blocked but it does mean that anything thats going to materially change the company is going to take a lot longer to progress
you also have a BOD that aren't going to benefit as much if the company does well - its like having a pilot of a plane who doesn't care if it crashes with no incentive to land it, every cloud has a silver lining -
im thinking the following

appointment of Non Executive Chairman next month
attempt to remove Board of Directors
attempt to go private
attempt for Sheikh to takeover

whats your thoughts on that?

i think overall it is good news for shareholders blocking the resolutions
i said earlier i assumed they all would be passed - why the rise before was false
some big sells straight after RNS
It does seem the Sheikh has a plan here, but what we don;t know
it does mean that while current BOD are in place, there is going to be some real issues in progressing anything meaningful which could be detrimental
I do think this means the Sheikh will takeover, possibly sooner rather than later.

It will likely mean only items the Sheikh wants to support can realistically progress
there could in all honesty be a clash of heads coming
board now have hands tied - so any opportunity is going to take a lot longer to implement
opportunities often require speed which MXO now don't have the ability to do - it will take a month or two just to get to the presenting to shareholder stage by which time the opportunity may have gone

It will be Pre-Consolidation - so not a major worry
surprised at 3 & 4 in all honesty - usually that would be a given.
my only thinking here is that the SHEIKH vote is the only thing stopping that, but then to what purpose other than to make sure he gets an offer of shares first or virtually giving him some major control (30% of Shares will have a major effect on everything) - going to make things a lot harder to implement any material changes and investments but i would feel that this would mean its the Sheikhs way or not at all

The Meeting today is nothing more than a formality in terms of the agenda - all will be passed without issues
If the Sheikh is there personally then that shows extra commitment by him (how we could ever prove that unless you are there and could provide photo evidence or it is in RNS (which it won't be as it will only legally mention the Directors / Chair etc)
If hes not there it doesn't really say too much either, he has other business interests all over Africa, likely they are more important than a confirmatory AGM
The rise today is unjustified just for an AGM unless he is personally appointed Non Exec Chairman formally

whats changed yesterday to today - nothing
no major volume - one big buy yesterday - couple of decent buys this morning but nothing to shout about, MM's are going to make a killing here today unless there are some very large delayed trades this morning

i always wonder on these rises - no actual news - just the agm which will go as planned yet people get suckered into buying at a massive premium
low volume so far but the MM's probably shorter than normal because of the delayed big buy yesterday

Doubt there will be any placing other than Lanstead Agreement in place
we have funds for working capital
we now have project finance
clear Lanstead and then push forward

Going to take a long time for gold production but this is a huge step in the process
said this was one to buy and hold and i maintain that, 3-5 years and mid production we will be well higher than where we are today - no massive short term gains due to Lanstead but come back in few years and i think you will be happy

i know most of you don't care what i think but now we understand the need for the capital raise, i actually thought this fee had already been settled.
still seem to be on course for the partnership in AJE to be cash positive early next year but still no update on whats next fro AJE - update was due 2 months ago but delayed and promised b end of Q2 (3.5 weeks left)
