And Xilinx just bought out by AMD for $35 billion.
It's all happening in this industry!

Finally, Xilinx having been outbid by Nvidia for Mellanox who paid $7billion , completed the purchase of Solar Flare a maker of FPGA powered Smart NICs in 2019 for a estimated $5billion.
Xilinx is seeking further acquisitions in this growing market with 5G rollout accelerating according to Market Watch.

Nvidia not Xilinx bought Mellanox and thus got into the Smart NIC market.
Xilinx are seeking acquisitions in 5G technology and want to expand its Smart NIC reach.

Remember there are only 9 Smart NIC Producers and vendors in the world at the moment
Intel , Nvidia, Broadcom, Xilinx , Napatech , Nostronome,Marvell,Pensando and Ethernity .
Microsoft and Amazon develop their own Smart NIC adapters.
So Ethernity with its broad based patent protection should benefit greatly as the Industry expands .
And don't rule out a takeover from say Xilinx who acquired another Smart NIC producer , Mellanox
last year and is targeting 5G in a big way.

I can assure you that I am not in the slightest bit worried about ENET.
Sometimes on these boards when people start talking about the SP going up by 5/10 times I always feel the necessity to add the occasional cautionary note .
Not that I would not be happy to see the SP rocket I still await some definitive news before getting too excited.
Still very confident that Levi and the team can deliver.

SMART NICs using ARM or FPGA are expected to represent over 20% of total Ethernet Adapter market of $3b by 2024.
Standard or traditional NICs will still have a market going forward.
So Ethernity will hopefully have a variety of fruits on its market stall.

I have plenty of confidence in the potential of ENET otherwise I would not have chucked in over £500k.
All I am saying is that the next 6 months are critical and management must perform .
While we are investors we cannot be blindly loyal for ever.
It is the job of management to reward shareholders and I am sure they will.

The Global market for Ethernet adapters grew from $1.7b in 2019 to $2.3b in 2020.
The market is dominated by Intel ( 24%) Nvidia ( 21%) Broadcom( 15%) Marvell (6%) while the big in house adaptor developers Microsoft and Amazon account for 17% .
This leaves a CURRENT MARKET of 17% xc $2.5b
or c$425 m for the other smaller companies in the industry including Ethernity to fight over NOW .
That is why I have said that the time for action is now given that the market for some of its IP is already here and has been for some time.

The time for excuses are over for Levi and the team.
They have extracted millions from investors in the past year so time to deliver.
The positive point I am making is that they know this is the moment to make significant progress and I am sure they will.
They surely are not interested in running a £15m market cap AIM minnow for much longer.
The next 6 months will be defining and I remain very confident.

Now that Peterhouse and 5G have taken their opportunistic gains it is time for Levi and the management team to produce for longterm shareholders .

Unless we are all misguided or insane ( a possibility in my case) I cannot understand why ENET is valued at £15m
I asked a patents lawyer friend of mine to look at Ethernity's US Patents and he cannot understand how they were approved as they confer such a wide ranging title to a broad based technology that requires indepth knowledge to define patent rights .
I agree that Ethernity is like an iceberg with only 5% of its mass visible to the general investment community.

Paltry £5/6 million revenues I should say

In my opinion Levi and his management team who own an effective controlling Interest ( over 25% of the shares ) which prevents a hostile takeover are not devoting the best years of their business lives to run a £15m market cap minnow with a paltry £ 5/6 months in revenues.
They are looking at a £200m minimum Market cap with revenues of at least £50m within the next 2 years.
Otherwise why bother.

The interview was not off the cuff.
Levi is clearly signalling to the market of significant deal flow in the pipeline.
He knows he now has to deliver.
Management appear buoyant at the moment and I expect some very interesting RNS s very soon.

Kape easily meets the Nasdaq listing requirements
First the acquisition then Nasdaq listing and hey presto £4 or should I say $5.

No stock around at the moment.
A great opportunity for management to release some positive news imho.

The next important catalyst for a further move upward in the SP will be the much signaled acquisition of a competitor similar in size to PIA
which Kape can fund from existing cash and bank facilities plus maybe a small placing.
Hopefully the acquisition will add around c600,000 new subscribers and create real International scale which would make Kape a very juicy target as the Industry consolidates in the next 2 years or so.

Ethernity hold 5 key US Patents on its IP
which is one of the reasons I invested.
There are extremely valuable and totally ignored by the market.

Experts predict that the following Ethernet adapter options will be available in the coming years
1 Traditional or standard NICS
2 Non programmable Smart NICs based on ASIC
3 Programmable Smart NICs bases on ARM and FPGA.
The Smart NIC Market is expected to grow to $600m by 2024 or over 20% of the total Ethernet adapter market.
The big players in both NIC and Smart NIC include Broadcom, Intel, Xilinx , Napatech , Marvell, Pensando and Ethernity.
All of the above options have relevance for different operators based on cost ,power usage and engineering capability.
Which of them will predominate is anyone's guess at the moment but Ethernity are well placed to secure a diverse range of customers with its IP
